Type of home required: Meet Wally! This handsome chap is looking for a loving and understanding home to call his own. Wally is a very sweet boy once he gets to know you and gets very excited to see his favourite handlers. He loves to go for long sniffy walks in quiet areas and is great in the car so he is up for adventures any time, he also enjoys lots of enrichment to keep him busy. Wally can be nervous of new people so he will require multiple meets here at the centre followed by home trials to ensure he is happy and settled in his new home, he will require some ongoing training, including muzzle work for vet visits as he can be quite worried by vets, any adopters will be fully supported by the amazing staff here at the centre. Wally will need to live in an adult only home and could potentially live with other dogs after successful meets. More information: Wally is a fantastic boy who just needs an experienced, understanding home where he can get some TLC and show his fun side. If Wally sounds like the guy for you, just fill in an application and 'Favourite' him!
Daisy is a 4 year old Jack Russel Daisy is a very intelligent jack russel & while she can have moments of high energy she also loves cuddling on the sofa. Daisy has done dog agility & loves playing with a ball (she will do all her tricks for a ballie) Daisy loves walks on a beach or anywhere near water as she loves to swim. She has great recall & will never wander more than 20m away from you. Daisy loves her comfort & will steal a blanket on the back of a sofa and snuggle up with it. Daisy is suited to a home with teenagers & above as she has curled her lip up at a younger niece when she tried to hug her too much. Daisy is toilet trained on dog pads but also if people are home she will go to the toilet in the garden. Daisy loves humans more than dogs and will only react if they get too close. Daisy also isnt a fan of cats as her prey drive kicks in when she sees them. Ronnie STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY Meet our striking white and grey smokey tuxedo boy Ronnie, who arrived with us as part of the big intake of 62. He took to cattery life without a care in the world and has quickly shown us what a wonderful little character he is! Ronnie is such a lovable soul, but you’ll certainly never be bored with this boy around! He absolutely loves to play and has quite the talent when it comes to ping pong balls, he’s clearly a little Ronaldo in the making and is currently working hard on perfecting his footwork! He’s also a big fan of catnip, which is always guaranteed to bring out his playful side. When he’s not busy entertaining himself, Ronnie is a wonderfully affectionate boy who loves attention. He’s a bit of a little shadow and will happily follow you around, ready to greet you with a nose boop or head bump and accept any fuss that comes his way. Ronnie could live as the only cat but he does have a few special friends here who he enjoys curling up beside for a cosy snooze. If his new home had room for one of his pals too, we’d certainly love to see them head off together. With his playful personality, affectionate nature and big character, Ronnie would make an amazing family cat or a wonderful companion for someone looking for a fun-loving best friend. If you could be the forever home our boyo has been waiting for, please apply below.
Caspian STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY Meet our striking silver boy Caspian, who arrived with us as part of the big intake of 62. Let us tell you a little about this handsome boy… Caspian is a gentle, settled boy who has a lovely calm nature. He enjoys his pets and a good fuss and is happiest when he’s surrounded by all his favourite comforts. A nice, comfy bed where he can curl up into a little ball and snooze to his heart’s content is his idea of heaven. But don’t let his relaxed nature fool you! Caspian certainly has a playful side too! He’s particularly fond of a good game with a ping pong ball and enjoys having some fun when he’s got the zoomies! He also has a rather adorable way of letting you know when breakfast is on its way. As soon as he hears the food being dished up in the morning, Caspian likes to sing his little song to make sure everyone knows he’s ready and waiting for his breakfast! Caspian would thrive best as the only cat in his forever home, where he can enjoy plenty of love, attention and all the cosy comforts he deserves. This handsome boy has such a lovely nature and would make a wonderful companion. We’d love nothing more than to see Caspian find the loving forever home he deserves.
Morris is only about 1 year old, and is a beautiful fawn Lurcher with the most handsome face. He’s incredibly people-focused, and gentle cuddles are his favourite thing in the whole wide world! Like most Lurchers, he adores his home comforts and will be more than happy to keep you company around the house as you go about your day. Of course, being a young fella, Morris does love a good zoomies session. So we’d love to find him a home with a nice-sized garden where he can stretch his legs and have a good run. He’s very playful and gets along fantastically with all the dogs in his foster home, so ideally we’d love for him to have a canine companion or two. His gentle, calm and playful nature makes him really great with kids. We haven’t tested him with cats yet, but we’d be happy to arrange a cat test for the right applicant. Morris is house-trained, a joy to walk on the lead, a fantastic passenger in the car, and his recall is already excellent too. He really is a dream dog.
Leo is a lovely 4 year old cat who is used to living as an indoor-only pet. She is looking for a new home because her family are about to move house and cannot take her with them. She is neutered and all her vaccinations are up to date. Leo is looking for a home where she will stay as an inside pet. If it is a very safe, rural environment away from a busy road she may, in time, be able to explore outside. She is an easy, affectionate cat who has been living with a sibling up til now. The siblings recently have not been getting on well (since neutering) so it has been decided to rehome them separately so that they can each enjoy all of their owner’s attention and have space of their own. If you would like to apply to adopt lovely Lilly, please fill out the adoption questionnaire on the website. Please note, Lilly is still based with her family in East Cork so anyone who applies would need to know it will be in East Cork they will need to meet her.
Turtle is a gorgeous young cat, estimated to be around 1 year old, who is ready for a new chapter in her life. Turtle is a beautiful young girl, estimated to be around 1 year old, who is ready to find a quiet and understanding home of her own. Turtle originally came into our care to have her babies, and now that her mum duties are over, it’s finally her turn to be spoiled! Turtle is currently enjoying some time in foster care, where she has been opening up really well. She is an inquisitive and sweet girl at heart, but there is an important side of Turtle that her new family will need to understand — she is currently very scared of being handled. Turtle isn’t ready to be picked up or fussed over just yet, and she will need someone who is willing to put in the time to earn her trust rather than expecting her to become a lap cat overnight. She needs plenty of patience, understanding and her own personal space, allowing her to come around in her own time. As she becomes more comfortable and learns that she is safe, we’re hopeful that we’ll continue to see more of her lovely personality shine through. Turtle would suit a quiet, calm home with someone who understands that sometimes the best way to show a nervous cat love is simply to give them the time and space they need. She’s already making wonderful progress, and with the right person by her side, we’re sure this sweet little girl has so much more to discover.

Rush is a very worried little lady who will need plenty of patience, space, and gentle support to help her settle. She tends to run away from new people and unfamiliar things, taking time to feel safe in new environments. Having another calm, confident dog in the home would really help her feel more comfortable, especially around people. Shell need a fully enclosed area where she can explore at her own pace and build confidence in her own time.

Muffin is a stunning 3-year-old Rottweiler with a heart as big as his personality. Hes a big, bouncy goofball who absolutely loves people and soaks up every bit of affection he can get. If cuddles were a sport, Muffin would be a champion. Hes dog-social and enjoys pottering along with friendly doggy pals when hes out and about but at home, he would prefer to be the only pet, where he can enjoy all the attention and love for himself. Muffin would like an adult-only home, as he can be a strong, enthusiastic lad who thrives with calm, confident handling. He will also need a fully enclosed, secure garden, as he can be a bit of an escape artist when the mood takes him. He loves his walks, sniffing adventures, and a good game of tug, which brings out his playful, goofy side.

Benny is a brindle-coloured, 1 year old lurcher who is just a large, happy and active puppy. He loves his walks and will often nuzzle your hand, push in to your leg and look for a gentle pet as he is walking along. Unlike some lurchers that come to our shelter, Benny is not in the least bit nervous of humans. He is a good dog and will make a lovely pet. We cannot home him where there is a resident cat. He will need a successful meet and greet at our Shelter if he is to share a home with an already resident dog. Benny will be happier in a home with daytime company owing to his young age.

We also host regular meet and greet events across Ireland, giving you the chance to meet our hounds in a relaxed, friendly setting. View some of our hounds looking for homes here. Why a greyhound? Greyhounds are one of the most misunderstood breeds around. They're gentle, quiet and surprisingly easy to live with. Two short walks a day, a warm bed and a bit of company is really all they ask for. • Two short walks a day, then back to the couch. • Quiet and calm, with a playful side that catches you off guard. • Low maintenance coat and very easy to groom. • Adaptable to most homes and lifestyles. • Full of personality: roaching, sighing and being adorably odd. Once a greyhound chooses you, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one. Learn more about greyhounds here. Ready to meet Piper? If you'd like to meet Piper or any of our other hounds, complete our adoption enquiry form and we'll get back to you. We'd love to help you find your perfect match.
Look at that hair!! Meet Peanut and Butter! Getting photos of them was like getting a picture of lightening; they are too fast! Peanut is the older of the pair, and also Butter’s father. You can tell who Peanut is by his lovely long hair! Butter is the smaller tri-coloured piggy. They get VERY noisy when it comes to vegetable time. They basically squeak the entire unit down from their excitement! Peanut and Butter will have to come home together. If you’d be interested in adopting this lovely pair, then please put in an online application form down below!<3.
ZOLA AND BLIUE!<3 Normally they aren't as tufty looking, but currently they're going through a MASSIVE molt!! But this is Zola and Blue. Zola is the brownish grey lop, and Blue is the white and fawn lop. There is a notable size difference between the pair of them, Zola is a lot larger than Blue! Both Zola and Blue are so sweet and affectionate; they've not got a bad bone in their body. I find that Blue is the most confident out of the pair of them, but Zola is still extremely confident too! Other than finding the odd tumble weed of fur rolling around due to their current molt, they're super clean! They take a lot of pride in always toileting in their hay tray. Since Zola and Blue are a bonded pair, they will have to go home together. These two would make the perfect little house rabbits. If you'd be interested in adopting them, then please put in an online application down below!<3.
COCO!!!! Meet Coco! From his picture, he is almost blending in with his blanket! Coco arrived into our care alongside his brother Biscuit, but they were a bonded pair. We were told that Coco was the shyer of the pair, but he is a pretty confident boy! Coco will have his nose in everything and anything he can get to. He is a super curious boy! I’m sure in no time he’ll be running over to humans for attention! Since Coco is a single bunny, we’ll be looking to get him a friend. If you’ve got a single rabbit at home, then please put in an online application down below<3.
