  • Biscuit – Photo 1 of 1

    Biscuit

    £45adoption fee

    Dutch · 3 years 1 month · Male · Small

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Such pretty colours!! Meet Biscuit! The second Biscuit arrived into our care, I knew he was gonna be a rascal (in the best possible way). Biscuit will stick his nose in everything and anything he can get to; nothing is safe! Biscuit would be a very outgoing little rabbit. As soon as he sees us going into his run, he is running over to us like a whippet! Biscuit is a little larger than he should be for his breed and size; he’s got a bit of a belly. But he’ll be back in proper bunny shape in no time! If you’ve got a rabbit at home little for a friend, then please put in an online application form down below<3.

  • Lady – Photo 1 of 1

    Lady

    Dog · 1 year · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Lady Meet Lady, a beautiful one-year-old Collie cocker cross who is just beginning to discover that the world isn’t quite as scary as she once thought. Lady is a nervous girl to begin with, but once she gets to know you, she loves you dearly. She can be excitable and frightened, and sadly she hasn’t had much socialisation during her early life. She gets very excited when she sees other dogs at the moment. There’s no badness in her whatsoever — she simply gets overexcited and hasn’t yet learned the right way to say hello. We’re working hard with her, helping her understand how to calmly introduce herself and build positive experiences around other dogs. Once Lady feels comfortable in her environment, she is actually a soft, settled and easygoing girl. She is showing us more of her lovely personality every day, and her progress is wonderful to see. We’re looking for a family who understands that Lady may need a little extra patience and guidance. Someone who will help her build confidence, teach her that the world is an okay place and give her plenty of activity and positive experiences. Children 12+ Ideally an only dog initially With time, patience and the right introductions, she may be able to live with another dog in the future Lady has so much potential. She just needs someone willing to believe in her and help her find her confidence.

  • Hulk – Photo 1 of 4

    Hulk

    €245adoption fee

Staffordshire Bull Terrier · 1 year · Male · Medium

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Hulk is a gorgeous Staffie, around 1 year old, who is looking for a special home where he can continue to learn, grow and build his confidence. Hulk is a clever boy with so much potential, but he’s finding kennel life quite stressful and we would love nothing more than to see him settled into a home environment where he can relax and show his true personality. He’s currently working on his lead training and would benefit from an owner who is happy to continue this work using patience and positive reinforcement. Staffie experience would be highly desirable, particularly for someone who understands the breed and their big personalities! We’re still assessing Hulk around other dogs, so we’re not yet sure whether he could live with another dog. This will become clearer as we get to know him better. Despite finding things a little overwhelming at the moment, Hulk is a great dog with so much potential. He just needs someone who can see past his kennel stress and give this young lad the chance to thrive.

  • Homer – Photo 1 of 1

    Homer

    £250adoption fee

    English Bulldog x Frenchie · 2 years · Male

    Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland

Homer is a fantastic little character but he does enjoy getting all of you attention. Homer did mix well with the other dogs most of the time however incidents broke out around resources and then a pattern of behaviour developed. Homer will be a superb little guy in an only pet home. He loves nothing more than to be on your getting all the love. While Homer appears to be a healthy boy for his breed type it would be sensible to consider his breed types are among the most expensive to keep. Homer could live with children aged 13 years with a sensible approach to dogs.

    Gabriella

    €275adoption fee

Collie (Border) Cross · 2 years · Female · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Gabriella is a petite young girl with a big personality and a very special story. She came to Dogs Trust as a mum, and after doing such a wonderful job raising her puppies, they have all now found loving homes. Its finally Gabriellas turn to find a family of her own! Gabriella has been through a lot in her young life, so meeting new people can feel a little scary at first. She may need some time to understand that she is safe and that she can trust the people around her. But once she has had the chance to warm up at her own pace, her wonderful personality begins to shine through. Before long, this once-worried girl becomes a wriggly, giddy bundle of fun who absolutely loves cuddles, attention and playtime! Gabriella also really enjoys the company of other dogs and could potentially live with a confident, friendly canine companion who can help her feel more secure as she settles into home life. Having a doggy friend to show her the ropes and join her for endless games could be a wonderful boost to her confidence. A secure garden will be essential for Gabriella while she learns to walk happily on lead. Her new family will need to be prepared to take this process slowly, allowing her to build confidence before expecting her to tackle the wider world. Gabriella is looking for a home with adults or older teens who will be patient, understanding and willing to let her set the pace. Her adopters will need to take the time to learn her body language, recognise when she is feeling unsure and support her gently as she adjusts to her new life. For Gabriella, the journey will be all about patience, trust and celebrating the little steps forward. In return, her new family will get to watch a beautiful young girl blossom into the happy, affectionate and playful companion she has been waiting to become. Gabriella has already given so much to others. Now she is ready for someone to give her the time, love and security she deserves.

  • Smokie – Photo 1 of 2

    Smokie

    €275adoption fee

Terrier (American Staffordshire) Cross · 1 year · Male · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Smokie is a handsome adolescent American Staffordshire Terrier with a huge heart and an even bigger love for affection. He thrives on human company and is happiest when hes soaking up attention from his favourite people. Whether its cuddles on the sofa or relaxing beside you after a walk, Smokie loves being part of the family. A food enthusiast through and through, Smokie is highly motivated by treats, making training both fun and rewarding. When hes not enjoying a tasty snack, youll often find him stretched out on a cosy bed, enjoying a well-earned snooze and embracing his comfort-loving side. Smokie is social with other dogs and enjoys canine company. He does have a rough-and-tumble play style, so any potential doggy housemate would need to be a suitable match who enjoys similar play and can comfortably keep up with his enthusiasm. With sensible introductions, he could potentially live with another dog. As a young and excitable boy, Smokie can sometimes jump up when meeting new people and may occasionally hump when overstimulated or excited. These are common behaviours that can be improved with continued positive reinforcement training and guidance. Smokie is eager to learn and would benefit from a home committed to helping him develop his polite greeting skills. Smokie could live with older teens who are comfortable around energetic dogs and can help support his ongoing training. If youre looking for a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys both adventures and lazy days on a comfy bed, Smokie could be the perfect addition to your home.

  • Nikky – Photo 1 of 1

    Nikky

Mixed Breed · Male · Medium

    Co. Laois, Ireland

Nikky had the roughest start imaginable, and it really is a miracle that he survived. But despite being left to starve, he has grown into a happy, playful little puppy who is now full of fun and mischief. And don’t let his size fool you — Nikky may be little, but he certainly has a big personality! Nikky would really benefit from having a confident, sensible dog in his new home to help him learn good manners and boundaries. He can be quite playful and a little mouthy, so we feel older children would be the best fit for him. Like many young dogs who have had a difficult beginning, Nikky is still learning that he doesn’t need to worry about his food or favourite things. He can sometimes be reluctant to share, but with gentle guidance, patience and positive training, these are things he can continue to learn. He is currently living happily with four dogs of different sizes and absolutely loves the bigger dogs. He does tend to be a little more interested in chasing the dog closest to his own size, so a confident dog who can show him the ropes would be ideal. Nikky has come such a long way from the tiny puppy who fought so hard to survive, and it would be wonderful to see him continue to flourish in a loving forever home. He is a very special little boy with a huge personality, and we know there is a wonderful family out there waiting to give him the life he deserves.

Banjo is a 3 year old, male Lurcher/Collie Cross who is a friendly guy with very striking good looks. He loves a bit of one to one attention and delights in heading off for his daily walks. Not too strong on the lead, he walks well taking in all the sights and smells. He will need a cat-free home and most certainly an active home as the collie in him is surely going to need mental stimulation to ensure a happy dog. A home with older children/teens to entertain him would be ideal. He is in good condition and would be considered a large dog.
