  • Sophie – Photo 1 of 1

    Sophie

    Cat · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Sophie Meet our stunning calico girl, Sophie! This little pocket rocket arrived into our care alongside Sebastian and Molly. She was a little shy when she first arrived, but it didn’t take her long to warm up to us and show us her big personality in true calico fashion! Sophie is full of energy, affection and character, and she brings plenty of laughter to the cattery. She absolutely loves to play and has some very impressive moves up her sleeve! Whether she’s chasing toys, having a little zoom around or showing off for the volunteers, there is never a dull moment with Sophie around. She is also a major foodie and is always very enthusiastic when it comes to mealtimes! But despite her busy, playful nature, Sophie is a real softie at heart and loves nothing more than some cuddles, fuss and a good pet. Sophie can be a little dominant towards other cats, but she does enjoy the company of her brother and sister and has loved having them around. She would therefore need the right feline companion if sharing her home with another cat. Sophie is such a fun-loving, affectionate and entertaining little girl, and we know she will bring so much love, laughter and personality to her forever family.

    Sebastian

    Cat · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Sebastian Meet our stunning tabby boy, Sebastian! Isn’t he gorgeous? And just look at those whiskers! Sebastian arrived into our care alongside his sisters, Molly and Sophie. When he first arrived, he was quite scared and shy, but it didn’t take him long to realise he was safe and begin warming up to our volunteers. With a little time and patience, Sebastian has really come out of his shell and shown us what a big softy he is. He is a gentle boy who enjoys his fuss and loves a good pet, but he also has a playful side and enjoys nothing more than having a good play and a mess around with the other cats. He is also very fond of his food, with a little chicken making for a particularly delicious treat! Sebastian would thrive in a home with another friendly cat for companionship and to help give him that extra confidence. While feline company would be wonderful for him, he will also happily lap up all the love, attention and interaction his humans have to offer. We think Sebastian is a really special boy who, with the right family, will continue to blossom into the confident and affectionate cat we know he can be.

    Blanch

    €150adoption fee

    Dachshund X Collie · 2 years · Female · Small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Blanch came to the shelter as a stray. She was very nervous, frightened and confused. As we don’t know anything about her past history, it has taken some time for her to settle and feel safe. She would benefit from a quieter, adult only home. Blanch will need regular exercise, routine & further socialisation to help build her confidence. She would also benefit from having someone at home throughout the day to help her settle in.

    Rambo

    €150adoption fee

    Jack Russell X · 14 years · Male · Small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Say hello to super, happy chappy Rambo! He was surrendered to the shelter as sadly, he was simply unwanted. He is a really sweet boy, enjoys company, potters around without a care in the world… just wonders when’s it dinner time! As Rambo is a senior boy, he needs someone to just be with him. However, he still has great pep in his step & would benefit from some light exercise during the day. Most importantly, he would love a person to cuddle up with in the evenings. He is an all round gentleman. Adopting an older dog, can be very rewarding; for however long that may be.

    Kai

    €150adoption fee

    Labrador · 11 years · Female · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Kai is the most beautiful, friendly girl. She is like a big teddy bear & loves her cuddles. She was surrendered through no fault of her own. She is good on lead & would need some regular, sniffy walks throughout the day. She gets on well with the other dogs at the sanctuary so can be homed with another male dog (pending a meet & greet) or on her own. Kai would benefit from having someone home during the day as she loves and needs company.

  • Roman – Photo 1 of 6

    Roman

    €100adoption fee

    Mixed · 4 months · Male · Small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

a fun-loving nosy bun! Roman is a 4 month old lop cross who came into the shelter with his mother, Patty, and 4 other siblings. Patty came into the shelter when her babies were no more than 2 weeks old, and she had 5 of them! Even though this time was stressful and she had been living in bad conditions, Patty gave her babies everything and has been an excellent mother. Her babies have been thriving since coming in to us. Roman is too young to be neutered yet so he must go to a foster home until he can come back to the shelter for his surgery. We are planning on booking his neuter surgery for the end of September so he’ll will be on foster until then. We are particularly looking for families to foster with the intention of adopting Roman after his surgery; we call this process ‘fostering-to-adopt’. Thank you for choosing to foster-to-adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm for two rabbits with plenty of indoor free roam time. Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need. All our rabbits are microchipped and vaccinated and will be neutered once they are ready.

  • Carter – Photo 1 of 1

    Carter

    Cat · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Carter Just look at this gorgeous boy… isn’t he absolutely stunning? Carter is a handsome black and white lad who is searching for the forever home he truly deserves. He arrived into our care as part of the large intake of 62 cats and has settled beautifully, showing us what a lovely, easy-going character he is. Carter is a relaxed boy who enjoys taking life at his own pace. He’s quite content sitting back, watching the world go by, and taking everything in around him. He appreciates the simple pleasures in life, a good meal, a sprinkle of catnip, a few toys to play with, and plenty of gentle fuss and affection from his favourite people. He has a wonderfully calm nature and would be equally happy sharing his home with another friendly, settled feline companion or soaking up all the love and attention as the centre of someone’s world. Carter is looking for a family who will cherish him for the wonderful boy he is and give him the safe, loving home he’s been waiting for. Carter must be rehomed to a strictly indoor-only home, where he can enjoy a happy, safe, and secure future. Could Carter be the newest addition to your family?

  • Jemima and her babas – Photo 1 of 1
    Litter

    Jemima and her babas

    Cat

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Jemima and Kittens STRICTLY INDOOR ONLY This is a very special appeal for Jemima and her two beautiful babies. Jemima is one of this summer’s wonderful mummy cats. She gave birth to her kittens in our care and, sadly, like so many of our young mums, she was only a big kitten herself. Despite her young age, she has been the most devoted and attentive mum from the very beginning, caring for her babies with endless love and patience. The bond between Jemima and her kittens is truly heartwarming. They love to cuddle up together, play with one another, and are rarely far apart. Watching this little family together is incredibly special. Jemima is a gentle, shy girl who truly thrives with feline companionship. Before becoming a mum, she was very closely bonded with other cats, and that same beautiful bond has naturally carried over to her kittens. She is happiest when she has other feline friends around her, and because of the incredibly close relationship she shares with her babies, we would love nothing more than to find them a forever home together. We know finding a home for three cats is a big ask, but we also know just how special this little family is. We hope someone will see what we see and open their heart to keeping them together. If you are in a position to offer Jemima and her two babies a loving, safe home, we would love to hear from you.

  • Charley – Photo 1 of 1

    Charley

    Dog · 7 years · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Everyone meet Charley, a beautiful older Shepherd, estimated to be around 6–7 years old. Life hasn’t always been kind to Charley. When she first arrived with us, she was incredibly frightened. We couldn’t touch her or handle her, and she was underweight and completely unsure of what we wanted from her. But over the last few weeks, we’ve watched something really special happen… Charley has started to blossom. We can now get her on a lead, and she’s beginning to enjoy gentle, sniffy walks. We’re taking everything at her own pace and haven’t pushed her into busy roads or overwhelming environments yet. And that’s exactly what Charley needs from her forever home — time, patience and understanding. A quiet, settled home A secure garden Someone who understands nervous and shy dogs Time to learn to trust and simply be herself The company of another friendly dog could be beneficial Sometimes dogs don’t need big adventures. They don’t need someone who wants to be out doing everything all the time. Sometimes, they simply need their person. Someone who will give them a safe home, a quiet garden, a comfy bed and the freedom to take life at their own pace. Charley is a great girl. She gets on well with the other dogs and, with the right person beside her, we know there is so much more of this lovely girl waiting to emerge. She doesn’t need fixing. She just needs someone who is willing to understand her, trust her and let her learn to trust them. Could you be Charley’s person?

  • Jodie – Photo 1 of 3

    Jodie

    Dog · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Jodie – Please Give This Special Girl Her Happily Ever After Everyone meet Jodie. For many of you, Jodie will be a very familiar face from both our social media and our website. For a long time, we were looking for a home for Jodie alongside her beloved dad, Charlie. Sadly, Charlie passed away a few weeks ago. It has taken me quite some time to even be able to write this post and remove their profiles from the website. Charlie never got the chance to make it home, and that is something we will always be incredibly sad about. But we don’t want the same to happen to Jodie. Jodie has coped incredibly well since losing her dad. Of course, she has been sad and a little down, but the whole team have been surrounding her with as much love, comfort and attention as we possibly can. And now, more than ever, Jodie needs a family of her own. Jodie really doesn’t ask for much. She is a wonderfully loving, gentle girl who is happy with the simple things in life. She loves her big, squishy beds She sleeps with her beloved big blue octopus She enjoys pottering around the garden A couple of gentle 15-minute walks each day are plenty for her She eats well She’s wonderfully clean and keeps her bedroom spotless She loves people and is happy to see everyone Jodie shows very little interest in other dogs, but we feel she would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can have all the love and attention for herself. She also loves children. What we are looking for now is something very special — a family who can look beyond the grey hairs on Jodie’s face and see the wonderful dog underneath. Someone who understands that she has lost the companion she knew and loved, and who will give her the security, patience and unconditional love she deserves. Jodie doesn’t need a big adventure. She doesn’t need a busy lifestyle. She simply needs a sofa, a garden, a comfy bed, someone to love her and a family that is hers. She has spent far too long waiting. Charlie never got to go home. Please don’t let Jodie leave us without knowing what it feels like to have a family of her own. If you have room in your home — and, more importantly, room in your heart — for this incredibly special girl, please get in touch. Jodie deserves to be cherished for whatever years she has ahead of her.

  • Commodore – Photo 1 of 1

    Commodore

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 12 weeks · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Ms. Commodore is super energetic and playful, and her favourite pastime is sneaking up on humans, dogs, and other cats😊 When she’s not busy surprising other members of the household, she gives her full attention to finding (and re-hiding) hidden treasures – there’s no place for dull moments when Commodore’s around😊 But once she's tired after all the fun and frolicking, she will curl up on your chest to purr and cuddle, and then purr and cuddle some more. Commodore is a little bit special: she is blind in one eye, but that does not hinder her in the slightest😊 In fact, you can barely tell that she's vision-impaired, except that she occasionally runs into things and turns her head at some super cute angles to see things. She would probably do well in a home with high-energy friends to play with, whether it’s kids over the age of 10 or simply lively adults😊 If you would like to welcome this fun and friendly little feline into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

  • Sailor – Photo 1 of 4

    Sailor

    €25adoption fee

    Cat · 2 years · Male

    Co. Roscommon, Ireland

Sailor’s Story Sweet Sailor is around two years old and, despite having had more than his fair share of struggles, he is an incredibly affectionate, playful boy with so much love to give. After coming into care, it was discovered that Sailor had likely been hit by a car some time ago. Sadly, the damage was too severe and one of his back legs had to be amputated. He had also battled cat flu, which has affected the vision in one of his eyes. But none of this has slowed Sailor down! He is flying around on three legs, manages stairs with ease and loves playing with his toys. He is an avid cuddler, enjoys his food and, more than anything, loves being close to his favourite person. Sailor is very people-orientated and thrives on companionship. He would suit a quiet home where someone is around most of the time, and would happily spend his days following his person around and staying close by. Sailor’s ideal home: Indoor only Adult-only or a home with older children Someone home for much of the day A relatively quiet household No cats or dogs – Sailor would much prefer to be your one and only and have all the attention to himself! Sailor is neutered and ready to find the home and person he can call his own. Please get in touch if you think Sailor could be the perfect addition to your family.
