About Piper

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Rachel, Amir, and adorable resident houndie Louis for responding to our foster appeal and giving Piper the opportunity to jump off our waiting list and take her very first steps towards the life she deserves. What her foster pawrents say: Her foster family shared this update, " We are so in love with her. She's a little timid, but very sweet natured, very patient, with a little encouragement she's settled in perfectly so far Hello from foster houndie Piper Welcome, Piper! Today, precious Piper left kennel life behind forever and made her way to Dublin, where she has moved into a loving foster home . A heartfelt THANK YOU to Rachel, Amir, and adorable resident houndie Louis for responding to our foster appeal and giving Piper the opportunity to jump off our waiting list and take her very first steps towards the life she deserves . It didn't take long for Louis to make her feel safe . Rumour has it these two have been inseparable since Piper arrived and she even fell asleep sitting upright, gently leaning against her new best friend . Her foster family share " We are so in love with her. She's a little timid, but very sweet natured, very patient, with a little encouragement she's settled in perfectly so far. She takes food and treats from your hand in the most gentle way, and when she gives you kisses they are the most dainty little licks. She is an absolute superstar ". Awwww . Piper really has landed on her paws ! There is something so lovely about hearing that a houndie who has only just stepped into home life is already feeling safe enough to show her gentle, loving and affectionate personality. And with Louis by her side, it sounds like she has found the perfect guide to help her discover just how wonderful being a much loved and appreciated hound can be. We look forward to learning and sharing more about this lovable girl as she continues settling into life as a much-loved and appreciated guest. Stay tuned! Apply to adopt Piper Why adopt from RIGHT? This means that by the time you meet a RIGHT hound, they are already house-trained, used to home comforts and showing you exactly who they are. Our foster families give us a real picture of each hound's personality, routines and needs, so we can match the right hound with the right home. We also host regular meet and greet events across Ireland, giving you the chance to meet our hounds in a relaxed, friendly setting. View some of our hounds looking for homes here. Why a greyhound? Greyhounds are one of the most misunderstood breeds around. They're gentle, quiet and surprisingly easy to live with. Two short walks a day, a warm bed and a bit of company is really all they ask for. • Two short walks a day, then back to the couch. • Quiet and calm, with a playful side that catches you off guard. • Low maintenance coat and very easy to groom. • Adaptable to most homes and lifestyles. • Full of personality: roaching, sighing and being adorably odd. Once a greyhound chooses you, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one. Learn more about greyhounds here. Ready to meet Piper? If you'd like to meet Piper or any of our other hounds, complete our adoption enquiry form and we'll get back to you. We'd love to help you find your perfect match.
