  • Marshall – Photo 1 of 1

    Marshall

    Dog · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Introducing Marshall Marshall is a small hound with the most gentle and affectionate nature. He’s a truly lovable boy, but beneath that sweetness is a shy, vulnerable soul that has clearly not had the easiest start in life – and it’s that softness that makes him all the more special. Marshall adores the company of other dogs and would very much benefit from sharing his home with a confident, friendly dog who can help him settle, show him the ropes and give him reassurance as he finds his feet. He’s looking for a calm, understanding home with: • A secure garden • Someone with the time, patience and kindness to help him feel safe and loved • Another dog would be a big bonus for his confidence • Children 6+ who are confident around bouncy dogs With reassurance and routine, Marshall will blossom into a deeply loyal and loving companion. He’s the kind of dog who will form a strong bond with his people and repay their patience with endless affection and trust.

  • Joe – Photo 1 of 3

    Joe

    Lurcher · 4-7 Years · Male · Large

    Co. Cork, Ireland

Joe is a lovely gentle boy who wouldn’t say boo to a goose. He must have had a very scary start to life because he is very timid at first. But once he gets to know you he is so loyal and stays nearby despite his fears and nor does his anxiety result in defensive behaviour like growling or snapping. He really is a gentle soul. He just needs time and patience to get to know you. He is a real cuddle bug with the other dogs in foster so he’d love a home with another dog. He is very quiet and calm in the house, never barks, and just enjoys snuggling with the dogs on the sofa or in his own bed and is not a bother at all. His foster mum is full of praise for him. Preferably a rural or quiet spot where he won’t be spooked by too many people, although he might get used to a busier environment with time and patience. If you can offer Joe the calm, steady life he deserves, you’ll be rewarded with a deeply loyal presence and the joy of watching a timid dog slowly blossom. He is house and crate trained. No cats or small furries.

    Pickles & Gerkin

    €35adoption fee

    Guinea Pigs · 1-2 years · Female · Small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

two sweet ladies who love to lunch! Meet Pickles & Gerkin – they are 1-2 year old sisters who came into the NSPCA after being found living in completely unsuitabke conditions. Pickles had a ton of missing fur on her back and open wounds, and was extremely withdrawn. Her breathing was also quite laboured. We weren’t sure if she would make it. After a few days here and secretly eating at night, Pickles slowly started to come out of her shell and we were finally able to give her the medication she so badly needed. She got a medicated bath, got treated for parasites and went on anti-biotics to help her lungs recover from her infection. She really turned a corner during this time and became a different pig – all of a sudden she as ‘wheeking’ when she heard the treats coming, munching down on hay and coming to the front of the enclosure when she heard her salad coming, and her pal Gerkin was with her the whole way! These girls have really been through it and deserve the best piggy home after all they’ve been through – could you be the one for them? Thank you for choosing to adopt guinea pigs from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend guinea pigs be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm for with an adjoining run to exercise and explore. Guinea pigs require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need. Reserved

  • Leroy – Photo 1 of 2

    Leroy

    Pony · 3 years · Male

    Co. Offaly, Ireland

This lovely pony is a 3-year-old gelding standing at approximately 123 cm, with a genuinely kind and laid-back temperament. Leroy arrived with us clipped and shod, which would suggest he has previously been broken to drive, although this cannot be guaranteed. He has settled well and continues to improve with a consistent routine. He is a friendly, easy-going pony who enjoys human company and takes new situations in his stride. Leroy is straightforward to handle and a pleasure to have around, showing a calm and uncomplicated attitude to daily care. Leroy does display a mild burping habit, (we don’t like to call it windsucking!) which is steadily improving as he settles, benefits from turnout, and leaves his previous life behind. This has already reduced noticeably with time and routine. Key details: 3-year-old gelding Approx. 123 cm Believed previously broken to drive Outstanding, kind temperament Very laid-back attitude Easy to handle and manage Improving steadily with routine and care Leroy would thrive in a calm, knowledgeable home where his quiet nature can continue to develop at a gentle pace.

  • Fifi – Photo 1 of 1

    Fifi

    Cat · 14 years · Female

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Fifi needs a new retirement home though no fault of her own. She is aged 14 and is a wonderfully affectionate and gentle little girl – a little scatty, shy at first, loves any and every gentle touch, purrs loudly. She is in good health, is very clean, eats well and has always been generally problem-free. She deserves another loving home. Fifi’s is a very sweet-natured girl – a little scatty so tends to run under your feet a bit. That would be a trip hazard especially for an older person or someone with mobility issues I think. She does appreciate a kitty litter in the house – given that she’s a little older. She tends to stay near the house – never roams more than a garden or two away. So, yes, she’s very trouble-free. The only thing that really spooks her is being picked up so she does to be coaxed into a carrier! For an older cat, Fifi is amazingly nimble, fit and slender. Missing a few teeth and maybe a little hard of hearing but very healthy overall with a sleek coat and a great appetite. Loves her wet food, bowl of milk and some Dreamies. The most affectionate girl who purrs loudly, loves cuddling in, headbutting, and curling up on any lap! She loves chatting and has a gorgeous communicative miaow. Fifi is neutered and her vaccines are all up to date.

    Lucy

    Cat · 6 years · Female

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

One of our supporters has a six year old gentle tuxedo cat named Lucy who needs to be rehomed by end of March as they are leaving the country. Here are the details of this very well cared for cat …. We took her from my back garden when she was a year old , we think she was abandoned from the apartment block behind my house because she was neutered and not afraid of humans. We are leaving to go back to our home country for good and we cannot bring her with us unfortunately. So, we are looking for a new home for her. She is a very good and gentle cat. She loves summer and always have sunbathing at the back garden. Lucy is vaccinated and neutered. She is both indoor and outdoor cat, she knows how to use the litter but she always use the end of the garden as her toilet. She never gave us any trouble and helped us especially thru covid times, she has always been a very good companion. Lucy loves fresh roast chicken and baked seabass and she ates both dry and wet food, and of course her treats from Lidl or Tesco. Hope, you can help us to find a new home for our dear Lucy. We are leaving on March 25.

  • Frost – Photo 1 of 1

    Frost

    €200adoption fee

    Husky · 7 years · Male

    Co. Cork, Ireland

Such a fun dog, Frost is a 7 year old male Husky. When his owner passed away Frost was left in the same outside run for over 2 years until we heard about him. We can’t wait for this lad to have the opportunity of a fun, playful home to make up for those years without exercise or interaction. Frost is very petite for a male Husky. He LOVES toy play and is so affectionate with people, he is properly entertaining to be around! He has his moments of stubborness and is sometimes inclined to not listen, but that is only because he finds it hilarious to wind up his person! He settles really well in his kennel, no barking or pacing, he is immaculate to care for. Frost has spent his entire life without the company of other dogs. At the rescue Frost meets and passes dogs nicely around the block, but when left to offlead with dogs he’s goofy, bouncy and strong. He takes onlead walks really nicely with others and he could be rehomed with another dog but it will need to be a dog who can tolerate this guy’s misguided attempts at play! Alternatively Frost could be an only dog, he would certainly be a great family pet with children 7+. We will need a home where he isn’t left for long hours and secure garden or space within the garden is a must. He cannot be rehomed with cats. Could you be the person who finally gives Frost the life, love and craic he has been missing for so long? To apply for him please read our Adoption Process on the website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.

    Jasper

    €250adoption fee

    Lurcher · 5 years · Male · Medium

    Co. Kildare, Ireland

Jasper is a gorgeous five-year-old lurcher who is incredibly loving and affectionate and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. He much prefers humans over dogs! Having recently benefitted from some wonderful time in a foster home, Jasper can now cope with an urban setting and indeed sharing a home with another resident dog is also possible. Of course a successful meet and greet is essential if he’s to share this home with another dog. We will not consider a home with cats for Jasper. A quieter living environment suits him best with walks in peaceful areas where Jasper is much more relaxed. He really enjoys his walks and is excellent on the lead. A village or small town would be suitable but not a very built-up residential/urban area. Jasper will make a wonderful and devoted companion as he has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right person or family to give him the chance he deserves.

  • Marley – Photo 1 of 7

    Marley

    €150adoption fee

    Jack Russell · 3 years · Male · Small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Marley is full of love, energy & fun. He is very affectionate & a total cuddle bug. Marley is a typical Jack Russell – playful, energetic & sassy! He loves his comforts (especially his little fleece hoodie). Marley can become stressed and reactive around other dogs. He is okay at a distance but finds it stressful passing a dog close by. He currently wears a muzzle when out on walks. He is looking for a home with experience of JRTs / Terriers that can help & work with him. Marley's Story Marley was originally surrendered to the sanctuary through no fault of his own. He is searching for a forever home that can give him the time, patience & training to thrive. If you’ve experience with JRTs/Terriers & willing to work with Marley, he would love to meet you.

  • Isadora – Photo 1 of 8

    Isadora

    €275adoption fee

Retriever (Labrador) Cross · 1 year · Female · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Isadora is a loving and spirited young Labrador mix with a heart as big as her enthusiasm for life. Shes a classic goofy lab who wakes up each day ready for fun, adventure, and making new friends. Isadora absolutely adores meeting people and bonds quickly with everyone she meets. Because she feels her emotions so deeply, Isadora can sometimes be a little over-eager with her greetings and may jump up to say hello. Shes still learning how to manage those big feelings, so ongoing, positive training will be important to help her grow into her best self. Isadora is a strong girl on lead and would thrive with an active family who enjoys long walks, hikes, or runs to help her burn off her youthful energy. As shes still very young, shes looking for a dedicated home that will provide consistent training, structure, and routine as she navigates adolescence. Isadora is hoping to find a family who can continue her training and help her learn to manage her big feelings when seeing other dogs out and about. Isadora would love to be the only pet in the home, where she can soak up all of your attention. At this stage, she would be best suited to an adult-only household while her training continues. If youre looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion and are ready to invest time and love into helping a young dog shine, Isadora may be the perfect match for you.

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Mercedes. Mercedes is an absolutely brilliant girl — a Bulldog cross, around three years old, with a heart as big as her smile. She has the most wonderful, gentle nature and is simply a joy to be around. Waggy, happy, and full of life, Mercedes loves everyone she meets and greets the world with enthusiasm and warmth. She gets on beautifully with other dogs and shows no issues in their company, though we feel she would truly shine as the only dog in the home, where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She’s a strong, springy, lively girl who enjoys her walks and is excellent on the lead. Mercedes can live with children aged 12+, and would thrive in a home that enjoys her fun, affectionate personality. There’s honestly nothing bad to say about her — she’s one of those dogs who just leaves an impression on your heart. All Mercedes needs now is a family to call her own.
