    €150adoption fee

    Greyhound · 2 years · Male

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Billy, a sweet-natured, quick-witted black boy who figured out toys on day three and has been working on perfecting his paw of more ever since. What his foster pawrents say: “Billy is settling in so well, he's already got us wrapped around his paw.” A greyt big hello from Billy Billy is a two-year-old black boy who arrived in his foster home on 26th April and has been quietly impressing everyone around him ever since. He came in a little unsure, which is completely understandable after a long day of travel and a whole lot of new. But he found the garden on day one and claimed it immediately. By day three, toys had been discovered. By the end of the week, the paw of more had been perfected. A signature move where Billy gently places his paw on you to request additional pets. It works every time. He's sweet, gentle and settling in beautifully. At two years old, he has so much love to give and is ready to find the family he'll give it to. What makes Billy so special? Billy arrived quietly and has been turning up the charm steadily ever since. He's a gentle, affectionate boy with a clever streak and a very polite way of asking for what he wants. 🖤 Gorgeous black boy with a sweet, gentle nature. 🐾 Famous for his paw of more, his signature move for requesting extra pets. 🌿 Claimed the garden as his favourite spot from day one. 🧸 Discovered the joy of toys within days and hasn't looked back. 🤓 Quick learner who picks things up fast. 🦮 A true gentleman on the lead. 🐕 Good with dogs both big and small. 👧 Great with children aged eight and over. 😴 Settling into his sleep routine. 🚽 House training in progress. 🌍 Getting used to everyday sounds on local walks. More updates coming as Billy settles. Thank You! A huge thank you to Nicole and Andrew for opening their home to Billy and giving him the warmest of welcomes. Thank you also to transport volunteers Gwen and Mark for getting him there safely. Your time and generosity made all the difference. Why adopt from RIGHT? Fred came to the shelter as a stray. At just 10 months old, he is still so young and excited for a future filled with new adventures. He is a very affectionate & loving boy, full of fun, very playful and excellent on lead (once he gets that initial excitement out!). Fred will make an amazing companion once given some consistent training, regular exercise/ play, routine and of course, a loving home to feel safe in. Poor Fred can become stressed when left alone for too long – so he will need someone at home most of the day to help settle him in.

  • Henry – Photo 1 of 1

    Henry

    €150adoption fee

    Frenchie · 6 years · Male · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Henry is a 6 year old french bulldog, he is a typical messer French Bulldog, he’s full of fun, silly energy and he’s very affectionate. His happiest place is sitting on your lap on the couch. Henry loves going for walks, most of the time. Like a lot of French Bulldogs he will sometimes refuse to budge. He is not a fan of cleaning and is reactive to mops, hoovers and moving cloths. He just needs to be in another room when you clean. Henry has no problem with anywhere on his face or body being touched but hates having his nails trimmed. He does suffer from seasonal allergies for which he gets medication but is otherwise a healthy dog. He is well socialised around dogs but is not a fan of cats. Henry is very clever and responds to commands like sit, stay, come, got to bed. He will do whatever you want to get treats! He is an anxious dog and gets stressed when there are too many people in the house or when there are loud noises. He would be best suited to a quiet, predictable home with no children or possibly teenagers familiar with dogs. When he gets stressed or overstimulated he can communicate this by jumping and has nipped at hands a couple of times in the past. This is not aggression but a reaction to being overstimulated. He can be distracted by treats or telling him to go to bed. Due to changing circumstances in our family we can no longer give him the attention and quiet, safe space he deserves so we are reluctantly looking to rehome him.

  • Smokey – Photo 1 of 1

    Smokey

    Staffy cross · 12 years · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet Smokey Smokey is a young Staffy cross with the most stunning brindle markings and an equally beautiful spirit. When she first arrived with us a few weeks ago, she was terrified of the world and unsure of everyone around her. Since then, we’ve had the joy of watching her blossom into a happy, confident girl — and it has been truly wonderful to see. Smokey is fine when out and about with other dogs, but she would prefer to be the only dog in the home where she can enjoy all the love and attention to herself. Sadly, she cannot live with cats. We are looking for a home with dog-savvy children aged 12 plus who will understand her lively, bouncy nature. Smokey is strong on the lead, so an active home with someone willing to continue her training would be ideal. A secure garden where she can have a good run around and burn off some energy before walks would really benefit this fun-loving girl. Smokey has come on so far already and now needs a loving home where she can continue to thrive.

    Layla

    €245adoption fee

Staffordshire Bull Terrier · 6 years · Female · Medium

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Layla is an incredibly gentle and affectionate girl, with a heart of gold and enough personality to brighten any home. Layla is a truly special girl with so much love to give. At 6 years of age, she absolutely adores human company and is happiest when she’s out on a walk with her favourite people, soaking up cuddles and attention. She is very sweet, affectionate, gentle, and incredibly patient, Layla has a lovely nature that makes her a joy to spend time with. She is very intelligent and loves to keep herself busy, especially when toys are involved. In fact, she’s convinced she should be an official toy tester! She loves fetching, and playing, and, like many enthusiastic toy experts, occasionally “redecorating” them by pulling them apart. Layla is muzzle trained, lead trained and is fantastic for the vet, taking everything in her stride like the clever girl she is. Layla loves other dogs, and with the right owner experience and a positive dog meet, could potentially live with another dog. Layla is searching for a loving home where she can enjoy cuddles, adventures, toys, and quality time with her humans. In return, she’ll offer endless affection, loyalty, and plenty of laughs along the way. This sweet girl has so much love to give and deserves a home where she will finally be cherished.

  • Rockie – Photo 1 of 1

    Rockie

    Mule · 1-2 Years · Male · Large

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Gentle, sensitive and full of potential, Rockie is looking for a patient home where he can continue to learn to trust. Rockie is a young mule who came into our care after being abandoned at Ballinasloe Fair. He had a very difficult start, including injuries to his face caused by being tied with rope. Despite everything he has been through, Rockie has shown incredible resilience and a real willingness to connect. When he first arrived, Rockie was very nervous and unsure of people and his surroundings. He displayed fear based behaviours such as kicking, but with time, consistent handling and kind, patient care, he has made fantastic progress. He is now much better at communicating how he feels and will give clear warnings when he is uncomfortable. At heart, Rockie is a very affectionate boy who wants to trust. Once he feels safe, he forms strong bonds with his person and enjoys that connection. He will need a calm, experienced home that understands his past and is willing to give him the time, patience and reassurance he needs to continue building confidence. Rockie is still learning and developing, and will benefit from ongoing handling in a quiet and supportive environment. With the right approach, we believe he has huge potential to continue progressing and becoming a confident and trusting companion. He is also a lovely mover and, when he is older and ready, could potentially be broken and brought on for riding in the future. Rockie has been through more than most at such a young age, but he has so much love to give. With the right person by his side, he will truly come into his own and form a very special partnership,
