    Pair

    Morty and Dana

    €200adoption fee

    Jack Russell

    Co. Cork, Ireland

“🐾 Bonded Pair Seeking a Home Together – Morty & Dana 🐾 Please note: Morty and Dana are a bonded pair and must stay together. They are very attached to one another and will not be rehomed separately. Morty is an approximately 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who has been with his owner since he was a puppy. He is affectionate, energetic, curious, and loves being close to people. He enjoys running in fields, exploring outdoors, learning basic commands, and is highly food-motivated. Morty can become vocal when left alone initially, but settles after a while. He would thrive in a home that can give him regular walks, structure, and stimulation. Dana is a 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is affectionate, playful, and loves comfort. Her favourite things include burrowing under blankets, tug-of-war games, and digging in the garden when she suspects there are rodents nearby. She prefers having her own bed and food space and can growl at Morty if he gets too close during those moments. Dana would benefit from gentle exercise and enrichment to help keep her active and engaged. Both dogs would suit a home experienced with terriers and able to provide routine, attention, stimulation, and secure outdoor space. They would especially appreciate a home with a large, secure grassy garden where they can safely run around and enjoy outdoor time. They are both neutered/spayed. Vaccinations are currently not up to date. This is a very difficult decision, and the priority is finding the right long-term home where they will receive the time, care, exercise, and affection they deserve To apply for Morty and Dana, please fill in the adoption questionnaire

    Frank

    £200adoption fee

    Cockapoo · 6 years · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

🏠 Rehoming Frank: Your Future Furry Companion! 🐾 Meet Frank, the lovable 6-year-old Cockapoo! Frank is a wonderful blend of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle, bringing with him an array of delightful traits that make him a fantastic companion. Known for their friendly and affectionate nature, Cockapoos are energetic, intelligent, and eager to please. Frank exemplifies these qualities, but he also has some unique needs that require an experienced owner. About Frank: - Age: 6 years - Health: Neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated - Living Situation: Frank can coexist with other dogs after a successful introduction, but he would thrive best in a home without children. - Behaviour: Frank has some guarding issues, so we’re seeking a home with experience in managing this behaviour. We’ll discuss strategies for this during a meet-and-greet. Here are some important details to consider if you're thinking about welcoming Frank into your home: 1. Commitment to Training: Frank will require a dedicated owner who is willing to continue his training with a specified trainer. This is crucial for his development and confidence. The trainer has a proven method that has worked well with Frank, and their guidance will be invaluable in helping him adapt to his new environment. 2. Building Trust: Frank is a sensitive soul who needs time and patience to build trust. He thrives on positive reinforcement and gentle interactions. It’s essential that his new owner understands the importance of creating a safe space for him to feel comfortable and secure. 3. Understanding His Past: We believe Frank may have had experiences he would rather forget. Dogs have incredible memories, and it can take a long time for them to adjust to new situations. Patience will be key in helping him overcome any past traumas and allowing him to feel at home. 4. Personalised Training Approach: Our trainer will begin with an onsite visit to your home, allowing them to assess Frank’s needs in a familiar environment. Following this visit, there will be ongoing sessions with the trainer to ensure that both you and Frank are supported throughout the training process. This tailored approach will help establish a strong bond and set the foundation for a successful partnership. If you believe you can provide the loving and understanding home that Frank deserves, please submit an application online. We’re excited to find him the perfect match! Thank you for considering giving Frank another chance at a happy life! 🐶❤️

    Cross / Staffordshire Bull Terrier · 2 years · Male · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

2 year old Staffy cross Zeus, is a pocket bully. He was brought in through our inspectors. He can be a little unsure of new people at first so for that reason an adult home with experience would be the most ideal. He has made so many friends here at the shelter though, we know in a home his confidence will grow quickly. Zeus could potentially live with another dog that could help him gain his confidence. Despite being shy at first, this guy has an active side and loves cuddles so he just needs a little time in the right home. Can you open your heart and home to this gorgeous boy? It’s officially kitten season, and we are now taking applications for our current and upcoming kittens looking for forever homes! Our kittens are full of energy, curiosity, and chaos — hoping to spend their days in their new homes zooming around, chasing toys, climbing absolutely everything, and then curling up together for well-earned naps. Where possible, we prefer for kittens to be adopted in pairs so they can keep each other company as they grow. Having a feline friend helps kittens learn social skills, burn off all that playful energy, and settle more confidently into their new homes. Plus, there’s nothing sweeter than watching bonded kittens cuddle up together after a busy day of adventures. We’re looking for homes that can offer plenty of love, patience, playtime, and enrichment while these little ones grow into happy, confident cats. If you’re thinking about welcoming kittens into your family, now is the perfect time to apply — we’d love to hear from you!

    Tegan

    €275adoption fee

    Crossbreed · 7 years · Female · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Tegan is gentle giant who has a sweet and gentle temperament. Despite her size she is as timid as a mouse and takes time to get to know people. She can be worried by new people but getting to know them is made sweeter if they have her favourite thing, a tennis ball! She will play fetch for hours given the chance and acts like a giddy puppy during playtime! Tegan is a very strong girl, so she does need help with training around loose lead walking. Her carers at Dogs Trust will be happy to show you how to achieve this in the home. She loves her food and takes treats very gracefully from you with admirable manners. Tegan is dreaming of an adult only home that will help in her confidence building and becoming familiar with strange noises gradually. She will need to live in an area that is quieter than average, with little traffic and very few visitors to the home as the world is very scary for Tegan right now. She will rely on her close knit family unit to support her and help her grow in confidence while she learns what it is really like to live in a home. Having a garden will be fantastic for Tegan to have an outdoor space she can explore and relax in when the outside world is initially scary. Tegan may take some time to come round, but watching her go from stregnth to strength is endlessly rewarding and we are sure you will fall for her just like we all have!

  • Tango – Photo 1 of 1

    Tango

    €200adoption fee

    Lurcher · 5 years · Male

    Co. Cork, Ireland

Tango is a 5 year old saluki lurcher who is a real favourite of everyone at the rescue. He is so beautiful and gentle, but he also gets a regular dose of the giddies which leads to vast, sprinting loops of our fields! Tango, we believe, has never lived inside a home before. He loves bed and will settle easily into a house, however, house-training may be something to work on across his first couple of weeks in a home. He is very clean here in kennels since getting neutered, but it should be considered that living in a home will be new to him. Tango does well with other dogs. He is terrific with the females but will try to be the boss if other males are being annoying around him! We would definitely rehome him with a female dog, but a male would have to be pending a meet and greet. Tango does not necessarily have to live with another dog, but if there is no dog in his home, we would hope there wouldn’t be too many leaving hours. Lurchers do not generally do well by themselves for any real length of time. Tango has never lived with children before and can be a bit grabby with food (perhaps understandably) so we would prefer a home with children 12 plus for Tango. Meanwhile, a secure garden is preferrable, he has probably been used for hunting in the past and may have a prey drive that does not stop at your boundary! This may be negotiable depending on the location of the home offered and the efforts owners put into oversight. We really would love to see Tango find a loving home, he is so so affectionate. If you would like to apply for Tango please read the Adoption Process on our website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.
