About Waffles

Gentle, affectionate and ready to discover what home life is all about. Hello from Waffles. "Waffles is ready to leave kennel life behind and show us more of his lovely personality in a foster home. A greyt big hello from Waffles Waffles is a beautiful seven-month-old black boy with a gentle nature and a love of company. He is affectionate, calm and happiest when his people are close by. At just seven months old, the whole world is still new to him, and he is approaching it all with quiet curiosity. He is currently on our waiting list and needs a foster home to begin the next chapter. Like all young hounds making this transition, he will show us so much more of his personality once he is settled and safe in a home. What a foster home means to Waffles 🛋️ A sofa to call his own. Somewhere soft and safe to stretch out and finally relax. 🔇 Quiet and calm. Time away from the noise and busyness of kennel life. 🤗 Human company. Someone steady and close by to help him build trust and confidence at his own pace. 🚶 Gentle walks. The chance to explore the world quietly, taking in new sights and sounds without pressure. 🏡 A routine. Mealtimes, walks and rest in a calm, predictable rhythm that helps a young pup feel secure. 🐶 The company of calm dogs. A chance to learn what it means to share a home with another hound. 📝 We will share more about Waffles once he is settled in foster care. What Waffles needs in a foster home? 🏡 Location: Dublin, Cork or nearby surrounding areas. 👶 Children: Age 10+ and dog savvy. 🐾 Other pets: No small pets. Good with calm dogs. 🌿 Garden: Fully enclosed and secure if present. 🕐 Home presence: Someone home most of the day to give a young pup the time and reassurance he needs. 🐈 Cats: not yet tested. • You prepare him for the forever family who is out there waiting for him. • It's a temporary commitment that makes a lifelong difference. Waffles is on our waiting list and needs a foster home to begin his journey. He is young, gentle and full of potential. A calm and patient home is all he needs to start showing the world what a wonderful companion he will be.

Fill in the adoption questionnaire in as much detail as possible; a RIGHT volunteer (the homing coordinator) gets in touch to answer your questions and arranges a home check, suggests suitable foster greyhounds, sets up a meet & greet (with the foster family), then a home trial of about two weeks.

Adoption fees

A minimum donation of €150 to adopt a RIGHT greyhound. All greyhounds are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before adoption.
