a mother and daughter duo looking for love Patty and Rachel are two girlies who came into the shelter together with Patty’s other babies. They were no more than 2 weeks old, and Patty had 5 of them! Even though this time was stressful and she had been living in bad conditions, Patty gave her babies everything and has been an excellent mother. Her babies have been thriving since coming in to us. She was always closest to Rachel so we decided to keep them together to find a forever home who would love the two of them equally. Patty has now been spayed but Rachel is not old enough yet, but she will be spayed very soon. Racehl is too young to be neutered yet so she must go to a foster home until she can come back to the shelter for her surgery. We are planning on booking her spay surgery in October so she will be on foster until then. We are particularly looking for families to foster with the intention of adopting Patty and Rachel together after Rachel’s surgery; we call this process ‘fostering-to-adopt’. Thank you for choosing to foster-to-adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm for two rabbits with plenty of indoor free roam time. Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need. All our rabbits are microchipped and vaccinated and will be spayed once they are ready.

This 4 year old gentle boy, Mousey, would suit a home with teenagers and could live with another dog. He arrived into our care injured, after being rescued by our inspectors; despite this he is gentle and loving with everyone he meets. Do you think you can give Mousey a forever home? To adopt a dog from our Dublin center, we highly recommend a visit to our site on Mount Venus Road. We are open Tuesday to Sunday 12-4 and no appointment is needed to visit. You can chat to the team about any suitable dogs for your family, fill in an application onsite and most importantly… meet with any suitable dogs! Alternatively you can fill out an online expression of interest and you will hear from our team via phone or email over the coming days. Please be advised an online expression of interest does not reserve a dog, a visit to the center will still be required to activate your application and you may need to fill in further forms on your visit.
