Are you looking for a cat to love you from a distance? Mochi might be the cat for you. Meet Mochi He’s a 4 month old kitten. If you have a suitable property and think you could offer Mochi a safe and secure home please come up to the NSPCA Dublin. We are open Tuesday to Sunday 12:00 to 16:00- no appointment needed.

    Lily

    €275adoption fee

    Crossbreed · 2 years · Female · Large

    Ireland

Lily is a gorgeous 2-year-old Collie x Bernese Mountain Dog with the most striking face and a personality to match! Lily is full of beans, bouncy and enthusiastic about everything she does. She is dog social and loves saying hello to her four-legged friends when out and about. However, Lily would prefer to be the only dog in the home, so she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. Lily can live with children aged 12 , provided they are confident and comfortable around a large, lively and very bouncy dog. She would love a family who enjoys getting out and about and can offer her exciting walks, adventures and plenty of mental stimulation. With her clever Collie brain and enthusiasm for learning, she could have great fun trying agility, training classes or other activities that give her an outlet for her active mind. One very important requirement for Lily is a secure garden with high walls or fencing. She is an agile girl who can jump surprisingly high, so her new family will need to make sure she cannot turn her escape-artist skills into an adventure of her own!

  • Bill & Ben – Photo 1 of 1
    Pair

    Bill & Ben

    from£90adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 2 years · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Bill and Ben are two brothers who were admitted into our care after they were sadly abandoned outside our building overnight, they are now looking to find themselves a new home. These two boys are a sweet, bonded pair who would love to find their new home together. Bill is the more confident brother, he has a curious nature and will come out to greet familiar faces in our cattery unit. Ben is a bit more timid, he prefers to take his time to get to know you, but we are confident that once he settles in a home, his affectionate side will start to show. Once settled into their environment, these boys are friendly and playful, often found curled up together watching the world go by. They do both enjoy getting gentle head rubs, however they are not massive fans of being lifted and held and prefer to take it slow. Bill and Ben are searching for a new home where they can continue to grow in confidence together. They will need understanding, patient owners who will allow them their own time to settle and adjust into their new home. They could live with children over the age of 10 years who are used to cats and have a sensible approach. It is unknown how they would react to other pets in the home.

  • Sol – Photo 1 of 1

    Sol

    £287.50adoption fee

    Collie (Border) · 1 year · Male · Medium

    Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland

Type of home required: Meet Sol! Sol is a very handsome 1 year old Collie. Sol is a very sweet boy who is looking for a gentle and understanding home as he is very nervous of new people and places. Although he is nervous he does warm up to people quickly, he is very sweet, friendly and seeks out attention. When uncomfortable he can show appeasement behaviours so a home that understands dog body language will be beneficial to Sol. Due to a lack of exposure in his early days, Sol finds new things scary and he needs a lot of confidence building around the car, due to this he would be suited to a home with a secure garden and quiet walking areas close to the home. Sol is dog friendly and gets a lot of confidence from other dogs, therefore Sol would prefer to live with a confident dog who can show him the world isn't such a scary place. Sol could also live with dog savvy teens who can respect and understand a nervous dog. More information: Sol is a fantastic young boy who needs a calm, loving home who can help him build his confidence and let him take the world at his own pace. Sol will require ongoing training in general confidence, he is also a very active breed and will require lots of mental stimulation, enrichment and appropriate exercise. Any adopter will be fully supported by our Training Team and Behaviour Coaches the entire way through the adoption process. Breed experience or experience with nervous dogs is preferable but not essential. If you would like to know more about Sol, just fill in an application and don't forget to favourite him!

Rossi will require ongoing training to help him build confidence around vet visits, handling, reactivity and car travel. Adopters with short leaving hours would be ideal as Rossi prefers to have human company during the day. • Danny – Photo 1 of 1

    Danny

    €200adoption fee

    Dog · 10 months · Male

    Co. Cork, Ireland

Danny is a 10 month old large, mixed breed dog who has a soft, affectionate temperament. He came into us from an elderly owner who wasn’t able to give him the time, training or exercise that he needs. Although Danny has all the traits to be a wonderful family pet we will have to be careful about the age of any children in his home, simply because he is unaware of his size and strength and he doesn’t lack for enthusiasm! He is still just a big puppy… Danny will not do well with leaving hours. He spent a lot of his life to date alone in a yard when really all he wants to do is to follow someone around. We are determined to find him a home where he has human or doggie company for most of every day. An active, nurturing home is what Danny needs. He would be fine to live with another dog, he absolutely loves them, but it would need to be a happy playful dog who is mellow enough to accept a new large presence in their home. Danny is strong onlead. He walks well on a harness, but he really has no idea of his size yet. A home with a large garden or access to nice offlead walks, along with regular training on the lead would be helpful. He is terrific off the lead with instant recall. Danny is extremely clean in his kennel, house-training should not be a problem. However, he is very unsure of what people want from him and will still do the submissive peeing we see from pups when they are uncertain or worried. Danny needs consistent kindness and encouragement to shed this puppy behaviour. We would love to see Danny in a happy home, he is going to be a wonderful, devoted pet for whoever gives him his big break! To apply for Danny please read the Adoption Process on our website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.

    Cockapoo · 5 years · Male · Medium

Buddy was successfully rehomed earlier this year, but sadly the home environment has proven unsuitable for his needs. His family made the heartbreaking decision to return him to our care. He is now being re‑assessed at the Centre, and we will have an updated profile for him in the coming days. For now, we are only seeking expressions of interest from adult‑only homes. Buddys' date of birth is 14/12/2020 If you are interested in fostering or adopting, please email our rehoming team on rehoming@dundalkdogrescue.ie

  • Covie and Nala – Photo 1 of 1

    Covie and Nala

    £250adoption fee

    Dog

    Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland

Covie (left) Male Pomski 5 Years Nala (right) Female Pomski 3 Years A very sad set of circumstances led to this little duos surrender- Covie is very attached to Nala and seems to struggle without her. We would like to keep these guys together. While Nala has been a little dream with us Covie has certainly struggled with all the recent upheaval in his life. Keeping his circle small and making things as predictable and consistent as we can has allowed us to form the beginnings of a lovely wee relationship with Covie. This will be essential for his new owner to repeat and respect the fact that both dogs will need time to decompress after their stressful rescue stay which has included time in both the pound and the sanctuary. Nala has the cutest and cheekiest face we might have ever seen and she knows it. Covie and Nala could live with children aged 13 + years who have a sensible approach to dogs. Covie and Nala may be able to live with another dog pending successful meet and greets.

  • Nancy – Photo 1 of 3

    Nancy

Shetland Pony · 11-13 Years · Female · Extra small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Meet Nancy A very sweet pony with a classic Shetland personality - quirky, charming and full of character! She can be a little more nervous and cautious than her best friend Sally, so she needs someone who understands that trust takes time. Nancy may initially be unsure of new people but give her time, take things slow and you’ll start to see her true personality shine through. Once she trusts you, she loves attention and affection. She is closely bonded with Sally, who is her brave and confident friend. We would love to rehome these two as a pair. Nancy is a lot more confident around Sally. Once you catch Sally in the field, Nancy will happily come over to you. Nancy is currently on a weight-loss journey, which is important part of keeping her healthy. Her future owner would need to continue her weight- management plan and provide appropriate care to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. Nancy will need a patient and understanding forever home that is willing to put the time and work into building her confidence. Underneath that nervous exterior is a lovely little pony waiting to come out of her shell. Give Nancy patience and kindness, and she’ll give you her trust in return.

While Nancy can be a little more cautious, Sally is the brave and reassuring friend who helps give her confidence. We would love to rehome these two as a pair. Taxi

    £250adoption fee

    Bullbreed cross · Young adult – 1 year – 18 months · Male

    Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland

We of course have no background info on Taxi but there’s a been strong argument from the team that he should have been called Tigger! (Winnie the pooh). Taxi is as bouncy as he is friendly. We’re very happy to help this big guy be made safe at the sanctuary after remaining unclaimed at the pound. Bull breed experience will benefit your application. Update as of mid September- Taxi has now been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and has started long term pain relief. We know this probably won’t help Taxi’s rehoming prospects so your likes, shares and engagements are appreciated. Taxi could live with children aged 8 + years with a sensible approach to dogs. Taxi may be able to live with a spayed female dog pending successful meet and greets.
