    Chester

    €100adoption fee

    Lionhead Cross · 4 months · Male · Small

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

a really gentle sweet little man Chester is a 4 month old lionhead cross rabbit who was born in a foster home with his 4 siblings. He has always known love and kindness and s a very well rounded bun as a result. He is the smallest of his siblings so he needs to wait another few weeks before he’s big enough to be neutered, so we’d love him to go to a foster home who would like to adopt him after his surgery. Chester is too young to be neutered yet so he must go to a foster home until he can come back to the shelter for their surgery. We are planning on booking his neuter surgery for the end of October so he will be on foster until then. We are particularly looking for families to foster with the intention of adopting Chester after his surgery; we call this process ‘fostering-to-adopt’. Thank you for choosing to foster-to-adopt a rabbit from the NSPCA. Please make sure to do your research on how to care for a small animal before considering adopting. We recommend rabbits be kept indoors with an enclosure that’s a minimum of 140 x 60cm with plenty of indoor free roam time. Rabbits require proper housing, bedding, food, enrichment, exercise and vet visits. Small animals are not pets for young children to look after, all the family must be on board to look after and care for any new pet coming into the home. We have seen too many being abandoned so please make sure that you are in a position to look after them and provide them with everything they need. All our rabbits are microchipped and vaccinated and will be spayed once they are ready.

    Freddy

    €135adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 4 years · Male · Small

    Co. Wicklow, Ireland

Shy and deserving of a second chance, Freddy is looking for an experienced family to help him thrive. Freddy is an approximately 4-year-old ginger and white male cat who came into our care with Michael from a hoarding home and was rescued by our NSPCA inspectors. Freddy has some wheezy breathing which may be due to permanent damage to his airway, although we are unsure of the exact cause. Because of this, we are looking for an experienced family who is happy to take him on and continue giving him the care and veterinary attention he needs. Freddy has already been through a lot and now deserves the chance to settle into a loving home where someone will be patient with him and help him feel his best.

  • Izzy – Photo 1 of 9

    Izzy

    €250adoption fee

    Terrier · 10 years · Female · Small

    Co. Kildare, Ireland

Izzy is a pretty, 10 year old Terrier who loves her home comforts, doesn’t like car travel and prefers not to have to meet too many dogs, especially larger ones. In other words, Izzy would like a quiet home without too many distractions. She very much bonds with an owner, likes a cuddle on a lap and this amount of human contact is actually sufficient for her. She will make a lovely companion pet for someone at home most of the day. We are looking for a home without children and other pets as Izzy is not 100% predictable in her behaviour around other dogs and strangers. Not a fan of long walks, Izzy will be happy just to amble around a garden. She will do very well in the correct home with an experienced dog owner who will receive all her love.

  • Commodus – Photo 1 of 1

    Commodus

    £100adoption fee

    Domestic Shorthair · 1-2 years · Male

    Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland

Commodus is a handsome boy (he definitely knows it!) He is very confident and loves to strut around the cattery! Commodus would need to be the only cat in the house, as he is a rough player and is attuned to his hunting. He will need some time spent playing with him to exert some of that energy. He is very affectionate and will sit on your lap to make biscuits. He is also VERY vocal and loves to have a yarn. He would be suited to a home with older children.

  • Rocco – Photo 1 of 1

    Rocco

    €275adoption fee

    Lurcher Cross · 1 year · Male · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Rocco is a beautiful, friendly lurcher who absolutely loves his people and has a wonderful way of lighting up everyones day when they are around. He has a naturally loving nature and enjoys his walks, especially when he can use his nose, explore his surroundings and take in all the interesting smells. Rocco is happy to greet people while out and about, although he can sometimes become very excited and jumpy. With continued training, patience and plenty of positive reinforcement, he will need someone who can help him learn how to politely say hello and manage those big feelings, so he can continue to enjoy all the affection he deserves. He is a clever, energetic boy who loves his training sessions (and food!) and is always keen to learn something new. He travels brilliantly in the car and loves the opportunity to have a good run around and stretch his long legs. Rocco is also friendly with other dogs, but his excitement can sometimes make him a little full-on. He will need canine friends who are comfortable with his high-energy personality, alongside a family who can continue helping him learn how to manage his excitement and interact appropriately with other dogs. As with any new home, Rocco will need time, patience and understanding while he settles in and gets to know his new family and surroundings. Rocco could share his home with other dogs and could live with older children who wont be intimidated by his size. His adopters will need to be prepared to continue his training and give him the time and consistency he needs to build confidence, learn new routines and truly settle into family life. In return, they will have a loving, fun and wonderfully enthusiastic companion by their side.

  • Badger – Photo 1 of 1

    Badger

    €245adoption fee

    Collie · 1 year · Male · Medium

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Badger is a gorgeous 1-year-old Collie who is looking for an active family to call his own. This bouncy young boy is absolutely delighted to be around people and has a huge amount of enthusiasm for life. He’s full of energy and will need plenty of exercise, enrichment, training and mental stimulation to keep his busy Collie brain happy. Badger came into our care after being rescued from a neglectful situation, and he’s now ready for the fresh start he deserves. Because of his age, energy levels and Collie nature, experience with the breed would be preferred. His new family should be prepared for an active young dog who will need guidance, structure and lots of opportunities to use both his body and his brain. Badger is a happy, bouncy boy with so much potential, and we can’t wait to see him thrive in the right home.

  • Guy-AM-I – Photo 1 of 1

    Guy-AM-I

    from£90adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 4-5 months · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Guy-AM-I was admitted into our care after he was sadly found abandoned outside our centre with his mum and siblings. After time spent with our animal care team, he is ready to find himself a new home. Guy is a very handsome boy who has a timid nature , he enjoys being in the presence of people and is comfortable sharing his space, but prefers companionship and on his own terms. Although he is not a cat who seeks constant fuss or attention, he does like people being nearby and will enjoy gentle head rubs. Guy-AM-I has come on well with our animal care team but can still be wary of new people and unfamiliar environments, he currently does not like to be lifted and handled, so would be best suited to a family who understands that he will need time and space to settle. A calm home with plenty of cosy hiding spots where he can retreat and relax will help him feel safe and secure as he adjusts. Guy-AM-I is a chilled out boy who enjoys the simple comforts in life, he loves a comfortable cat tree, warm cosy beds and a safe space to watch the world go by! He would be happiest in a quieter home environment, rather than a busy household, where interactions could be taken at his own pace. The way to Guy's heart is through his stomach! He loves his food and tasty treats will be a great way to strengthen your bond with him! As he has a more independent nature, once settled, he would be best suited to be able to have the option to explore the outdoors. Due to his temperament, he will need a hands off approach while settling so would not be suited for living with young children . Guy-AM-I could live with other cats with gradual introductions in the home. It is unknown how he would react around dogs.

  • Smeagol – Photo 1 of 1

    Smeagol

    €245adoption fee

    Staffordshire Bull Terrier / Pitbull · 3 years · Male · Large

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Smeagol is a lovely 3-year-old Staffie/Pitbull cross who is looking for a fresh start. He came into our care through no fault of his own, after his owner was no longer able to care for him. Smeagol is a really friendly, lovely boy who enjoys spending time with people and is ready to find someone who will give him the love and attention he deserves. We’re still getting to know Smeagol around other dogs and are currently carrying out assessments, so we’re not yet sure whether he could live with another dog. We’ll know more as those assessments continue. Smeagol is looking for a home with older children aged 16+ and a family who will give him plenty of time to settle in and become part of the family. This handsome boy has so much to offer and is ready for his next chapter. Could you be the person he’s been waiting for?

Domestic Medium Haired · 2 years · Female · Small

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Stitch is a sweet young girl, probably around 2 years old or younger, who is looking for a foster home where she can take her time and build her confidence. She can be quite shy at first, but once she learns to trust you, she absolutely loves a good pet. We think she has lots of potential to blossom in a calm, patient home where she can relax without too much pressure. Stitch just needs someone willing to give her the time and reassurance she needs to discover what a lovely girl she really is. Reserved
