Donut is a sweet 3-year-old boy who just needs a little time to find his confidence. Donut is a really sweet 3-year-old boy who has come on leaps and bounds since arriving with us. He was quite nervous at first, but he’s really starting to show us his lovely personality — and it turns out he’s a big fan of cuddles, pets, and attention! Donut would need to be the only cat in the home, as he doesn’t get along with other cats. He would also suit a home without young children, where he can enjoy a calm and relaxed environment. We think Donut would probably be happiest as an indoor-only cat, as he can be a little scrappy when he’s out and about. Give him a cosy home, plenty of love, and a comfortable spot to curl up, and he’ll be a very happy boy. He’s come such a long way already, and we’d love to see him continue to flourish in a home of his own. If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion, Donut could be your perfect match!
Cinnamon and Bourbon are a beautiful pair looking for a home together. Both are a little nervous and can take some time to feel comfortable, so they’re looking for someone who understands that confidence takes time and is willing to let them settle at their own pace. Cinnamon is a beautiful 2-year-old girl who can be a little skittish at first, but we’re confident she’ll come around with patience and reassurance. Bourbon is a handsome 3-year-old boy who is also a little fearful and will need a quiet, relaxed environment where he can decompress and find his feet. As they are both on the nervous side, we think they could potentially suit a barn or country-style home, provided they have a safe, warm and dry shelter, regular food and water, and plenty of patience. They would need to be kept safely indoors for at least 6 weeks initially to allow them to settle and become familiar with their new surroundings before being given outdoor access. Alternatively, a quiet home where they can simply relax and build their confidence together could be perfect for them. Cinnamon and Bourbon don’t need to be rushed or pushed — they just need someone willing to give them the time, space and kindness they deserve. With each other by their side, we’re hopeful they’ll continue to blossom.
Handsome Barnaby is an approx 5 year old lurcher who came to the centre having been found straying around West Cork Barnaby is extremely mellow, he rarely goes mad for zoomies, just jogs along contentedly around the fields. He is a dream to walk onlead – very mannerly, no pulling or straining. Barnaby is fine with other dogs but we have no history for him around cats so we will aim for a home with no cats (we presume he has been used for hunting in the past). He is becoming a huge fan of a cosy bed and also of toys, he would be fine to be left for several leaving hours a day. Barnaby’s only issue is around food. In his past he probably needed to grab food from wherever possible and this has formed bad habits. We are working on it but unfortunately it will affect the age of children with whom he can be rehomed. Older sensible teenagers minimum for Barnaby – at least until we have him being more patient and gentle with treats and meals. If you would like to offer Barnaby a loving home, please read the Adoption Process on our website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.

If you come within two feet of her, she immediately rolls over for belly rubs, delighted to soak up any attention. She loves to play ball, enjoys company, and mixes well with other dogs. Quinn is a gentle, loving girl, but she can be unsure around unfamiliar men, so a home that understands her sensitivity will help her feel safe and confident. Quinn is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated , and is now ready to find a family who will appreciate her sweet nature and playful spirit. Stevie is a truly special little soul. At just 2 years old, this sweet and gentle guy has already faced life without his sight—but he hasn’t let that take away hisr joy. Though blind and deaf, Stevie experiences the world in his own beautiful way. Once he feels safe and settled, he personality shines—he becomes playful, affectionate, and full of love. He absolutely adores belly rubs and will happily soak up all the attention you can give him. All Stevie needs is a little patience at the beginning while he learns her surroundings… and in return, he will give you so much love back. He has been fully vet-checked and is in good health, with no known medical conditions and is now neutered. Stevie is looking for a very special home: A strictly indoor environment, with the option of a safe, enclosed catio Someone experienced with blind or deaf cats, who can create a calm, secure, and “climb-proof” space An adult-only home, where he can feel safe and understood A home with no other pets, so he can relax and truly thrive He can only go outside under supervision in an escape proof area suitable for his needs. He would need time to adjust to an environment and learn to navigate new spaces safely. Stevie may not be able to see you—but he will feel your kindness, your warmth, and your love every single day. Could you be the one to give this special boy the safe, loving home he deserves?

Sophie (Shepherd X) Meet Sophie. Sophie is a 10-month-old young girl with a huge personality and a lot of love to give. She is affectionate, people-focused, very clever and loves being involved in family life. She enjoys cuddles, attention and meeting people, and she will usually assume every visitor has come especially to see her. Sophie is still young and can be very excitable when greeting people. She may jump up at first, but she responds to clear direction and settles once the initial excitement has passed. She has had training and will benefit from an experienced home that can continue with calm, consistent boundaries, lead work, recall practice and plenty of enrichment. She loves her walks and usually has around an hour of exercise each day. Sophie can pull on the lead and will need continued work in this area. Her recall can be good in the right setting, but she should stay on lead or on a long line unless in a fully secure area, as she cannot be trusted around rabbits, small animals or other high-interest distractions. Sophie can be good with other dogs, but she is very playful and excitable at first. She may be best as the only dog, or with a confident, tolerant dog of a similar size after careful introductions. She is not suitable to live with cats, rabbits, small furries or very small dogs. Sophie loves children, but because she jumps up and does not always realise her own size, she would be best suited to a home with older, dog-savvy children only. She is best fed separately from other animals and people, as she can be protective around food and treats. Sophie also appears to have food sensitivities, so her new home should continue with her current diet and avoid chicken and beef unless advised otherwise by a vet. Sophie settles best with company and will need a home where time alone is built up gradually. She can nap in a crate during the day if needed, but she is not used to being crated overnight. Sophie will make a loyal and affectionate companion for the right home. She needs an active, patient and experienced family who can give her structure, training, exercise and plenty of human attention. Age: 10 months Sex: Female Dogs: Possible with careful introductions; best with a confident dog of similar size, or as an only dog Cats: No Small animals: No Very small dogs: Not recommended Children: Older, dog-savvy children only Ideal home: Active, experienced, secure garden preferred, committed to ongoing training Key Needs: Lead work, recall management, enrichment, gradual alone-time training, separate feeding
Meet Dusty! Dusty is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois x with a love of life and an even bigger love of learning. She’s incredibly intelligent and thrives when her mind is kept busy, whether that’s through training, puzzle games, or picking up new skills. If you’re looking for a dog who enjoys working with her person, Dusty is your girl! She absolutely adores people and is happiest when she’s out and about on an adventure or spending quality time with her favourite humans. Long walks are one of her favourite things, and she’s always ready to explore When out on walks, Dusty wears a muzzle as she isn’t comfortable around other dogs and prefers to keep her distance. Her future family will need to continue managing this with positive training and sensible handling, but in return they’ll gain a loyal, affectionate companion who forms strong bonds with the people she loves Dusty is searching for an experienced home that understands the needs of her breed and can give her the mental stimulation, exercise and companionship she deserves. With the right family by her side, she’s sure to make an incredible best friend.
Ron is approximately 1 years old, he turned up as a stray in January/February 2026 and has been slowly trying to trust humans. He wants to be a pet but hasnt figured out how just yet. He spends all day around the house and will come inside for short periods to explore. He will rub up against his humans when feeding him and occasionally try to bop heads with them, he accepts some pets when hes in the right mood. He can be territorial around food with other cats and he was neutered recently. He's also nervous of children and would take some time to warm up to adults so would need a quiet home. He likes being outdoors but would possibly be fine being indoors too as he has used the litter tray when needed He is young and deserves a chance. Melanie adopted two kittens from Fingal SPCA and if we had room and a suitable fosterer, we would gladly take him. We always need fosterers and if there is someone willing to foster Ron, please let us know. Food and litter is supplied and vets' costs covered
14 years young and searching for a forever home. Sidka is a sweet boy who has had a rough journey, he now deserves a sofa and a human to call his own. Despite his age he is still up for adventures, he adores his walks here at the shelter but most of all he would love a home to rest in after a walk. He could live with another dog and a home with teenagers. Can you give Sidka his retirement sofa? To adopt a dog from our Dublin center, we highly recommend a visit to our site on Mount Venus Road. We are open Tuesday to Sunday 12-4 and no appointment is needed to visit. You can chat to the team about any suitable dogs for your family, fill in an application onsite and most importantly… meet with any suitable dogs! Alternatively you can fill out an online expression of interest and you will hear from our team via phone or email over the coming days. Please be advised an online expression of interest does not reserve a dog, a visit to the center will still be required to activate your application and you may need to fill in further forms on your visit.
This handsome Lurcher is a big, sweet boy looking for a home with experienced owners who understand the breed and are confident handling lurchers. We received Colin from the pound and he was quite shy at first. He has recently been neutered, is fully vaccinated, and has also received his kennel cough vaccination, so he’s ready to start the next chapter of his life. As a tall dog, he will require a secure home with high fencing to keep him safe. He enjoys getting out and about, however due to his prey drive and size, he must be walked on lead and muzzled in public settings. He is looking for a committed home that understands his breed and is willing to continue helping him become the best companion he can be. If you have experience with sighthounds and can offer a secure environment with a tall fenced garden, this lovely lad could be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️
