Jack Russell Terrier · 11 years · Male · Small
Co. Dublin, Ireland
This sweet older gentleman Jack, came into us from another rescue. At 11 years old he loves to potter and sniff in the garden just as much as he loves to curl up in the couch. As a senior boy, he does require medication to managed a medical issue. He is calm enough to suit apartment living and would be an ideal companion for someone home during the day or for a home with older children, he loves company! Alternately a home with a canine companion would be lovely too. Jack spent time in a foster home, and got a glowing report! Foster report: “He is confident and seems tranquil on his own but has major FOMO so if you’re doing anything he’d love to be a part of it! He is really cuddly and friendly with everyone he meets. His favourite place is on the sofa, completely under a blanket” Can you offer Jack a cosy spot on your couch? To adopt a dog from our Dublin center, we highly recommend a visit to our site on Mount Venus Road. We are open Tuesday to Sunday 12-4 and no appointment is needed to visit. You can chat to the team about any suitable dogs for your family, fill in an application onsite and most importantly… meet with any suitable dogs! Alternatively you can fill out an online expression of interest and you will hear from our team via phone or email over the coming days. Please be advised an online expression of interest does not reserve a dog, a visit to the center will still be required to activate your application and you may need to fill in further forms on your visit.

He is searching for a home with a large, secure garden where he can enjoy plenty of space and where his new family can spend time building his skills and training before taking on the wider world. Adelle is a dream dog, we absolutely love this gorgeous, gentle lurcher. She has a very soft nature and will make a fantastic pet. Adelle is around 2 years of age and is very easy-going. She is fantastic with all dogs, large or small and will need a home where she has a companion dog. She has the cutest little zoomies when she’s happy and she makes us all smile with her silly bursts! Adelle walks nicely on lead but sometimes lacks confidence when being walked away from where she feels safe. We send her out on roadwalks with plenty of volunteers but she need cajoling and encouragement when she’s alone. Walking with another dog – no problem! Whoever takes Adelle will need to go slowly and help her get over any shyness. Adelle is very clean in her kennel, she is gentle and polite around food, she loves her bed! She is also one of the few lurchers we would consider rehoming to a home where there is a cat, her nature we feel is too soft to pose any real threat. If you would like to apply for this beautiful, happy lady, please read the Adoption Process on our website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.

Xackary is a sweet older gentleman who certainly does not let his age slow him down! He is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy all the little things in life. A gentle senior with plenty of life left to enjoy, Basil is looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. Basil is a lovely 10+ year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is still very much enjoying life. He is a friendly boy who loves going for walks and, most importantly, absolutely adores playing with tennis balls! Basil is a lovely 10+ year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is still very much enjoying life. He is a friendly boy who loves going for walks and, most importantly, absolutely adores playing with tennis balls! Basil doesn’t have many teeth left and has a grade 3 heart murmur, so his new family will need to be aware of his medical needs and continue to monitor his health with their vet. Despite this, Basil is still happy to head out for a walk, enjoy some playtime and make the most of his days. Basil is now looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by comfort, care and companionship as an only pet (he is friendly towards other dogs, but in the house he likes to have all the food to himself). He may be a senior, but he still has plenty of fun and affection to give.

Cocker Spaniel · 5 years · Female
Co. Down, Northern Ireland
Meet Ren Ren is a beautiful little Cocker Spaniel, around 4–5 years old, who simply hasn’t had an easy start in life. This sweet girl is incredibly gentle and has absolutely no badness in her. When she first came to us, she was frightened of her own shadow. She wouldn’t let us touch or lift her, but with time, patience, and kindness, she’s come such a long way. We can now stroke her, pick her up, and watch her confidence grow every day. Ren is now ready to find a home of her own, and we truly believe that’s where she’ll continue to flourish. Ren’s ideal home: ● Another confident dog is essential – we will not consider homes without another dog, as having a canine companion is vital for her confidence and wellbeing. ● Children aged 12+ who are dog-savvy and understand the importance of giving her space. ● A quiet home with very little coming and going. ● A secure garden is a must. Ren will be a little bit of a project, but she’ll repay your patience with something truly special. Watching this lovely girl learn to trust and enjoy life will be one of the most rewarding journeys you could take.

Meet Romulus Romulus is a gorgeous one-year-old German Shepherd cross with a heart as big as his paws! This handsome boy is the definition of a big cuddly bear. He is affectionate, playful and full of personality, and once he gets to know you, he’ll happily be your shadow and your very best friend. Romulus is the kind of dog who wants to be involved in everything and, if he had his way, would probably spend his days bouncing around, playing and then climbing onto your lap for a cuddle! Romulus was born with elbow dysplasia, a genetic condition affecting his elbow joint. Importantly, Romulus himself has absolutely no idea he’s any different from any other big pup his age He is a happy, bouncy young dog At present, his only treatment is a joint supplement, and his care team do not currently anticipate this causing significant issues for him in the future. His new family will simply need to understand his condition and be committed to giving him the appropriate care as he grows. Romulus is looking for a family who will appreciate that underneath all that youthful energy is a loving, loyal and incredibly affectionate boy who is going to make someone an amazing companion. He could potentially live with another friendly, settled dog following suitable introductions. We would also consider a home with children aged 8+ who are confident and used to living with large, bouncy dogs. Romulus will need a family who can continue to guide him, help him mature into the wonderful adult dog he is destined to become, and most importantly, give him all the love he deserves. Romulus is going to be someone’s absolute best friend. Could that someone be you?

Pointer cross Collie · 3 years · Male
Co. Down, Northern Ireland
Meet Buddy Buddy is a gorgeous 3-year-old Pointer cross Collie, we believe, and he is an incredibly affectionate boy who absolutely adores his humans. He is a super cuddly, loving boy who forms strong bonds with his people and would love nothing more than a home where he can feel safe, settled and part of the family. Buddy has previously lived with children, but we feel he would be best suited to children aged 14+ who are dog savvy. The rescue environment can be quite overwhelming for Buddy, with lots of noise, activity and other dogs around him. He finds this difficult, which is why we are looking for a quiet, settled home with a calm routine and not too much coming and going. Interestingly, when he is out and about, Buddy generally copes very well around other dogs. However, he would need to be the only dog in the home, where he can relax and enjoy having his people all to himself. Buddy really is a lovely boy who has so much love to give. We know that somewhere out there is a quiet home where he can finally decompress, feel secure and be the affectionate, loyal companion we know he can be. Could you be Buddy’s forever home?

Daisy is a wonderful mix of breeds, making her highly intelligent and lots of fun! A home experienced in either of both of the breeds would be preferred. Daisy is very food driven, so training her will be lots of fun! Could Daisy be the right fit for you?

Collie · 9 months · Female

Lucy is a very special little collie girl – namely, she is deaf. She was born to a fine working dog mama, but since Lucy is hearing-impaired, she will not be able to become a working dog herself. But that’s okay, because Lucy has all the makings of a perfect pet😊 She is simply adorable: she’s very good-natured and exceptionally affectionate, and on top of that she’s always up for fun and playful good times😊 Lucy really likes the company of other dogs and the human smallies: as far as she’s concerned, they’re simply the best! She hasn’t met cats yet, so we can’t tell you how she’d react to them – approach with caution would probably be good advice to begin with😊 If there’s anything in this world Lucy likes as much or even more than her human and canine playmates, it’s food! It doesn’t take much coaxing to get her attention when food’s involved😉 Lucy would benefit from a loving forever home with people who have the time and patience to teach her communication with hand signs and other visual cues. And the good news is that Lucy's already started training with her foster mom and she really seems to enjoy it😊

Mr. Steed has been called an ideal pet, and some days that seems like an understatement😊 Mr. Steed is very sociable, highly affectionate and super gentle. He loves the company of other dogs, adores children, and, as if all that wasn’t enough, he gets on famously with cats, too😊 The one thing Mr. Steed is not is a chaser, which in the world of pet dogs is always a welcome quality, of course, and just another feather in his cap😉 When it comes to livestock (sheep, pigs, horses in this case), Mr. Steed has proven to be a total gentleman around them, too😊 If you would like to welcome this gem of a pooch into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

Fun, friendly and full of energy, Loki is looking for an active home where he can learn, play and thrive. Loki is a 3-year-old Husky Cross who is very friendly and loves getting lots of attention and pets. He also enjoys playing with toys and is always happy to accept a tasty treat! Loki already knows how to sit and give paw when there are treats involved, showing that he is a clever boy who is eager to learn. He is full of energy, though, and can be quite strong on walks, pulling on the lead. As a big, energetic boy, Loki will need an active home that can continue his training and help him learn good manners on walks. With the right guidance, exercise and plenty of positive reinforcement, we think Loki will make a wonderful companion. Loki seems to be very friendly with other dogs, so a canine companion could suit in a home pending a meet&greet.

Meet this handsome young lad! At just 11 months old, this Lurcher cross is a big personality in a growing body! He’s a boisterous, excitable boy who is absolutely full of beans and seems to think everyone he meets is his new best friend. He’s a very sociable youngster who loves people and enjoys meeting other dogs. He can be quite full-on with other dogs, though, so he would need a canine companion who is confident and happy to set appropriate boundaries. He does well with dogs who respect his space and can communicate with him. Despite all his youthful energy, he settles really well once he’s had the chance to burn off some of those beans. As he’ll likely grow into a large dog, his new family will need to be prepared for an energetic young dog who will need plenty of exercise, enrichment, training and stimulation. Older children would suit him best! He’s also an impressive jumper, so a home with high, secure fencing will be essential. This lovely boy has so much potential and is going to be an incredible companion for an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life!

Spaniel X · 5 years · Female
Co. Cork, Ireland
Lexi is an almost 5 year old Spaniel x Malinois making her an active girl who is cleverer than all of us! She will be an extremely loyal, trainable pet but she will need an experienced home. Lexi has not has much consistency across the past year, this lack of stability has led her to being unsure of people and new situations. Once she knows and loves you, you’re golden. She responds really well to kindness and calmness and has fun, cheeky side to her. Lexi could live with another dog if that dog is able to tolerate extreme play! The Malinois in Lexi leads to serious “mouthiness” and she looks like she is all teeth when she is playing. Once she has a good robust playmate she will also snuggle up nicely with them and enjoys their company. She will also be fine as an only dog because she is really faithful to her human. Meeting dogs onlead is a problem with Lexi. She is very leash reactive and she is not a fan of small dogs. A home where she has plenty of rural walks and enough space to have plenty of exercise in her own garden would be a big asset. Lexi is immediately wary of new people and needs a hands-off approach by visitors until she has a chance to suss them out. A home without too many people coming and going, a home without children, and a home that is able to manage introductions capably is going to be needed. To come visit Lexi and learn more about her, please read the Adoption Process on our website and apply using the Adoption Questionnaire.
