    Sidka

    €245adoption fee

    Husky · 14 years · Male · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

14 years young and searching for a forever home. Sidka is a sweet boy who has had a rough journey, he now deserves a sofa and a human to call his own. Despite his age he is still up for adventures, he adores his walks here at the shelter but most of all he would love a home to rest in after a walk. He could live with another dog and a home with teenagers. Can you give Sidka his retirement sofa? To adopt a dog from our Dublin center, we highly recommend a visit to our site on Mount Venus Road. We are open Tuesday to Sunday 12-4 and no appointment is needed to visit. You can chat to the team about any suitable dogs for your family, fill in an application onsite and most importantly… meet with any suitable dogs! Alternatively you can fill out an online expression of interest and you will hear from our team via phone or email over the coming days. Bobbi

    €245adoption fee

    Lurcher · 12 years · Female · Medium

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Bobbi is a beautiful female Lurcher with a gentle soul who is searching for a patient, loving home where she can truly blossom. She can be a little shy when meeting new people and in unfamiliar situations, but beneath that quiet exterior is a sweet, affectionate girl who enjoys gentle company and kind handling. Bobbi walks well on the lead and takes comfort in a calm, reassuring routine. Bobbi gets along well with most other dogs and could happily live with a canine companion, pending successful introductions. She would be best suited to a home with children aged 12 and over who can respect her sensitive nature. As with all Lurchers, Bobbi will need a secure garden with 6ft fencing to keep her safe while she enjoys stretching her legs and relaxing in the sunshine. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted companion and are willing to give her the time she needs to build her confidence, Bobbi will reward you with unwavering loyalty and love.

    €245adoption fee

German Shorthaired Pointer · 3.5 years · Male · Large

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Sebastian is a stunning 3½-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer who is looking for an active home with working breed experience. This boy is absolutely beautiful and full of energy — he would thrive with a family who understands high-energy working breeds and can provide plenty of exercise, stimulation, and structure. Sebastian loves to swim and enjoys getting out and about, but he can be reactive on the lead, so he will need ongoing training and guidance in this area. He would be best suited to a home with adults only, and while he gets along well with dogs of a similar size, he would be best suited to a home without other dogs. Sebastian has so much potential in the right hands and would make an incredible companion for someone ready to match his energy and enthusiasm for life.

  • Barn Cats – Longford – Photo 1 of 1

    Barn Cats – Longford

    €150adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 6 weeks · Small

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Some of our cats aren't looking for a life curled up on the sofa — they're looking for a place where they can enjoy a little more freedom, whether that's as helpful working cats or simply enjoying a peaceful retirement in the countryside. These independent souls come from all walks of life. Some are younger cats who would thrive in a barn or shed where they can put their natural instincts to good use. Others are older cats who would simply love a quiet rural home with a cosy place to sleep, regular meals, and someone to keep an eye on them. All of our barn and country cats require a safe, warm, and dry shelter, with access to fresh food and water every day. To help them settle and bond with their new surroundings, they must be kept securely indoors for at least 6 weeks before being given access to the outdoors. While they may not all be lap cats, they still deserve kindness, comfort, and a place to call home. Many will form their own special bond with their people, greeting you for dinner or keeping you company from a respectful distance. If you have a nice, peaceful spot in the countryside and would like to offer a deserving cat a safe place to live, we’d love to hear from you. Some cats don’t ask for much — just a warm bed, regular meals, and the chance to live life on their own terms. Could you offer one of our barn cats the fresh start they deserve?
