  • Chloe – Photo 1 of 1

    Chloe

    Pony · 10 years · Female

    Co. Clare, Ireland

This little lady is approximately 10yrs old and is Megan’s daughter. Unfortunately, she started her life living the same horrid existence as her mother and so earning her trust is a slow process. Chloe is a low-maintenance little lady and would be a perfect little project for someone to finish bringing around. She is chipped, etc. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Share on X (Opens in new window) X Share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest Share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email More Share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr Print (Opens in new window) Print Share on Telegram (Opens in new window) Telegram Like this: Like Loading…

  • Luna – Photo 1 of 1

    Luna

    Lurcher · 1 year · Female

    Co. Clare, Ireland

Luna is a 1yr old lurcher. She is a very happy playful young girl who will require further training to calm her enthusiasm for life. She gets on well with other dogs but does chase cats. As she is an active girl who forgets she is not supposed to jump on people a home without young children, or infirm adults, would be best. Luna has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed so is ready for a home. • Megan – Photo 1 of 1

    Megan

    Pony · 12 years · Female

    Co. Clare, Ireland

Megan is approximately 12yrs old and stands around 10 hands high. Having come from a “survival of the fittest” type of place she has been a long time deciding whether humans were worth getting to know or not, can’t say we blame her given the amount of fear and hunger she & her friends would have endured for years before being rescued. We are glad to say Megan has had a change of heart about our two legged species and a few special moments have been shared, those are the moments we live for and the reason we do what we do.

  • Stormy – Photo 1 of 1

    Stormy

    Bullmastiff · 5 years · Female

    Co. Clare, Ireland

Stormy is a 5yr old bullmastiff who loves to be loved. She can be a bit strong on the lead so will need some training to turn her into the perfect walking buddy. Stormy would do best in a home of her own or with a friendly male dog. When excited she can be quite giddy so would not be suited to a home with children under 12yrs old. She has been spayed and is chipped, etc so is ready for a loving home.

    Biscuit

    Pony · 17 years · Female

    Co. Clare, Ireland

Pretty little bay lass who is 17yrs old. Biscuit is approx 10’2 A real easy keeper, only has to look at grass and she gets fat!!! She arrived to us with her mother and they are most often seen together but unfortunately her mother suffers with sweet itch so Biscuit is available for rehoming without her mother. She can be aloof about being caught but once on the lead rope she is happily groomed, etc. Biscuit is too quick for inexperienced children to be around.

  • Argus – Photo 1 of 10

    Argus

    €250adoption fee

    Lurcher · 1 year · Male · Medium

    Co. Kildare, Ireland

Argus is a one year old, timid lurcher who is still learning how to trust humans. He is slow to approach and very wary of sudden movements so we can only imagine what kind of an early life he has experienced. He relaxes once contact is made with him, happily accepts petting, is very happy to head off for his walks and indeed walks very well on his lead. He is comfortable in his brother Odie’s company (also listed on our website http://kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog/Odie) but of course it will be challenging to find a home looking for a pair of lurchers! However, the pair would keep each other happy in a home where they had to be left alone daily for a period of time. An experienced dog owner with the patience and time to help Argus adjust to this world is needed, in a home free of cats and very young children who might unintentionally frighten him. The garden must be fully secure with high fencing. A confident resident dog would be an advantage but this of course would be subject to a successful meeting.

  • Jaffa – Photo 1 of 3

    Jaffa

    Domestic · 2-3 years · Female

    Co. Meath, Ireland

This big and very pretty lady came into our shelter as a stray. She is approx. 2-3 years old. She is now looking for her new furever home. Jaffa is shy and will need a bit of time and space to settle in and get to know you. She is good with other cats and loves her comforts. She had been nursing kittens and her nipples were extremely swollen and hard when she first arrived -- her kittens were discovered weeks later and only one is still in our care (Jock)

  • Johnny – Photo 1 of 1

    Johnny

    €120adoption fee

    Cat · Male

    Co. Laois, Ireland

Meet Johnny.❤️ 🐾 Handsome, confident and very much a character! 😻 Johnny is a castrated male with a massive appetite and an even bigger personality. He is extremely people-friendly and loves attention, food and sleeping — preferably in that order. 😂 He’s had a tough time and seems to have decided that life is now all about eating well, sleeping lots and enjoying the good things. 🍗😴 Johnny would be best suited to a dog-free home, as he can be quite reactive towards dogs and doesn’t always get along with them. A confident, lovable boy with plenty of personality and absolutely no shortage of opinions! ❤️

  • Casey – Photo 1 of 1

    Casey

    €250adoption fee

    Dog · 2/3 years · Female

    Co. Laois, Ireland

Casey came into our care back in March. She was extremely malnourished on arrival, but has thrived in foster care and is now looking for a home to call her own. Casey is a 2/3 year old pitbull/staffie x with an extremely sweet nature. She is an energetic girl that loves walks, hikes and all forms of play. Casey loves a cuddle and will happily lay up beside you or at your feet. She’s very affectionate and will make a vey loyal and loving companion. Casey loves the car and will happily hop in to go on an adventure. She is crate trained and is content when left alone for short periods of time. She loves her soft toys and will always make sure they are tidied away on her bed. She really enjoys lick mats and toys that provide mental stimulation. Casey had been attending dog classes and knowns a lot of commands. She loves to use her brain and would thrive with an owner that could provide further training. She also walks well on the lead. Casey is a young, strong dog so needs a home with dog savy kids 12+. Unfortunately we have found she can be reactive to other dogs so she will need to be the only pet in her home. She also falls into the restricted breed category so she requires an experienced owner that is willing to continue her training. Casey is: * House trained * Crate trained * Muzzle trained * Loves the car * Loves outdoor adventures * Knows basic commands (Sit, stay, down, paw, come etc) * Neutered * Fully vaccinated * Microchipped Casey needs: * Dog savy kids 12+ * Only pet in home * No cats * Experience with dogs, ideally with similar breeds, or willingness to show knowledge of restricted breed requirements. If you feel you can offer Casey her forever home fill out an application on our website, link in bio 🐶🐾🐕

    Mai

    €120adoption fee

    Cat · 3 years · Female

    Co. Laois, Ireland

I am around 3 years old. I had a tough beginning, but I bounced back in style! I am now a vibrant, strong, happy young lady with boundless energy. I love to play and I regularly get the zoomies, racing up and down the stairs. I play really well with other cats my age and size and can be trusted to play happily outside. When things are nice and quiet, I love to snuggle in a lap, or have a bog snooze curled up next to you. I love to have my head and shoulders rubbed, but get a bit overexcited when my back is rubbed. In the mornings, I love to bop my head and rub up against my humans’ legs. I also get a bit overexcited when playing, so might need a bit of space when I get the zoomies. I am loving, sweet-tempered, I never get angry with other cats and I make friends very easily. I love to walk alongside my foster dad when he goes for a walk and I’m very sensible around traffic and other animals. I would suit a house with maybe one other cat, and would be better suited to teenage and older kids. Because I had a tough start, I may find it a bit harder to bounce back if I get sick, so I would love to be in a house that understands cats and would take me to see the vet if I seem poorly. I am fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and treated for fleas and parasites.

    Tom

    €120adoption fee

    Cat · 1 year · Male

    Co. Laois, Ireland

Tom is a handsome one-year-old boy who has left his tiny-kitten days behind but certainly hasn’t forgotten how to have fun! He’s confident, curious and enjoys being involved in whatever his humans are doing. Tom has a lovely, easygoing side too and is happy to relax once the excitement is over. He’s at that wonderful age where you get all the personality and fun of a young cat, with a little more maturity. Tom is ready to find someone who will appreciate his big character and make him part of the family.
