  • Sophie – Photo 1 of 1

    Sophie

    Cat · Female

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

The name Sophie comes from the Greek word for “wisdom,” and seldom has it been more fitting than in her case. Behind that beautiful, fluffy tuxedo coat is Sophie, a gentle elderly lady of over ten years old who has spent her entire life on the streets. Now, she is looking for something she has never had before: a loving home and someone to share her golden years with. Despite spending more than a decade as a stray, Sophie is incredibly friendly with people. She loves being petted and, with a little time to adjust to the comforts of home, she could very well become the ultimate snuggle bug. Sophie would thrive in an adult-only home where she can be the only cat and enjoy all the love, attention and care she deserves. Her eyesight isn't the best, but she gets around well and doesn't let it hold her back. If you think you could give Sophie the cosy, caring home she deserves and make her golden years truly special, you may just gain a wonderful new best friend in return. Finn and Reya

    Cat · 9 months

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Meet Finn and Reya – two wild kitties ready for a life of comfort 💗 At 6 months old, Finn and Reya were rescued from a tough life outside and have blossomed under the cosy roofs of caring humans. Coming out of their shells has meant accepting lots of treats, playing, getting pets, and becoming iPad kids. They love games and bird videos on the phone, and watching birds outside the window. Finn’s even learned to operate the blinds! He’s the independent leader of these two, with a soft spot for his sister; he calls out for her when they’re apart. Reya, the quiet one, can often be found hunting bugs or taking treats for bribes. Finn and Reya are great kitties who are making great progress! They’re best suited to a forever family with experience with wild cats or anyone willing to give them space and time. They are curious and friendly, making strides every day! If you’d like to give these lovely kitties a home, apply to adopt today! • Louie – Photo 1 of 1

    Louie

    Cat · Male

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Meet Louie and Nina, two sweet siblings looking for a cosy, loving home! Although Louie and Nina are not a bonded pair and could be adopted separately, they are very attached to one another. Louis, the biggest of his litter, often stands up for his playful little sister, who tries to copy him in every way she can and follows him everywhere. Nina has a mischievous streak, though, often eating Louie’s food before he has had a chance to finish! This taste for mischief might be something she picked up from her brother Louie, who is known to practice a few escape-artist antics from time to time. Louie is a quiet, gentle, and affectionate soul who is growing braver every day. He had been the shyest of his siblings, and it still takes him a while to become comfortable around new people. However, as soon as he has earned your trust, he is incredibly affectionate. We just know that, once he finds the right person, he will be the sweetest, calmest cat you can imagine. Whether he is adopted alone or with his sister, Louie is certain to be a wonderful, affectionate, and calm companion for his new human friend!

    Meko

    Cat · 4 months · Male

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Meet Meko – The super playful kitty. Meko is a 4-month-old cute golden tabby. He was born into a cat colony but is very friendly and would much prefer to be a part of an inside family instead. Meko is very playful and curious. He’d even rather play than have treats, but of course treats are welcome too. He is a very friendly, easy-going kitty and loves to get pets. He is a bit shy, but he is brave and curious, so his confidence grows every day. Like any cat adapting to a new home, he will need some time to adjust and settle. Patient pawrents are needed to help him decompress and get used to his new forever home. But he is a very happy, confident cat and so will surely settle in, and you’ll feel like he has been a part of the family since forever. Do you have a cat shaped hole in your heart that needs filling? Meko would love to help with that! • Russell sprout – Photo 1 of 1

    Russell sprout

    Dog · 9 years · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

WELL… WHERE DO WE EVEN START WITH THIS BOY? Everyone meet Russell — or, as he’s very fondly known by the team, Russell Sprout. And there isn’t one of us who doesn’t love him. Russell once belonged to a family. When they moved back to their home country, he was simply put out onto the streets and left behind. By the time he reached us, he was in an awful state. thin, filthy dirty, nails terribly overgrown and teeth so rotten that the smell was something we had never experienced before. Looking at his teeth, you could have believed he was twenty. In reality, we think this little Jack Russell is probably around 8–9 years old. Russell has since had every single tooth removed — and his little tongue now permanently hangs out of the side of his mouth. Somehow it just makes him even more lovable. And what gets us most about Russell? He asks for absolutely nothing. Give him his little 15–20 minute walk each day and he’s delighted. He loves pottering around, occasionally breaking into the funniest little show-pony jaunt, reminding everyone that underneath everything he’s been through, there’s still a proper little Jack Russell in there. Once he knows you, he’s affectionate, gentle and incredibly sweet. He doesn’t need big adventures or a busy life. He just needs someone to say, “Come on, Russell Sprout. You’re coming home.” Russell could live with children aged 12+ who understand and appreciate an older dog. He was thrown away when his family no longer needed him. We’d really love the rest of his story to be about someone who could never imagine leaving him behind.

  • Molly – Photo 1 of 1

    Molly

    Dog · 11 months · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

MEET LITTLE MOLLY Molly is only 11 months old, but sometimes when you look at her little worried face, she seems much older. She is a nervous, gentle little girl who probably hasn’t had the easiest start. We know she was very much loved by her previous family, but sadly we don’t feel she always received the care she needed. And yet there isn’t an ounce of badness in her. Molly is soft, sweet and incredibly loving. She adores everyone she meets and desperately wants to trust that everything is going to be okay. Most of the time you see that slightly worried little face… and then something lovely happens. Her ears suddenly perk up, she grabs a toy and, just for a while, the baby she still is comes shining through. Those moments make everything worthwhile. Molly needs someone patient and kind who will show her that life doesn’t have to be scary. That food will always come, hands will always be gentle and home really can mean forever. She could share her home with a suitable male dog and is looking for: A secure garden Someone home for a good part of the day Children aged 12+ Plenty of patience, reassurance and love She’s only 11 months old. Molly has her whole life ahead of her. We just need someone to show her how wonderful that life can be.

  • Ruby Roo – Photo 1 of 1

    Ruby Roo

    Dog · 11 years · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

MEET RUBY — SHE’S READY FOR THE QUIET LIFE At 11 years old, Ruby isn’t asking for adventures or excitement. She’s simply looking for somewhere soft to land. Ruby arrived with us a frightened, cross little Shih Tzu who didn’t want much to do with anybody. She was scared of everything and everyone and, although we know very little about her past, one thing was obvious — she was missing the life and the person she had known. It was heartbreaking to watch. But week by week, Ruby began to realise she was safe. And what a transformation. The little girl who didn’t want anyone near her now happily gets lifted up for cuddles and absolutely adores attention. She has shown us the sweetest, most affectionate side of herself, and she really is an absolute darling. Ruby loves her little 15-minute walks twice a day and is beautiful on the lead. But her favourite part of the day? Curling up beside her human when everything is quiet. We’d love to find Ruby a calm, peaceful retirement home with no young children, where life can simply be easy from now on. She is okay with other dogs and could potentially learn to live alongside a cat. She doesn’t need much. A couple of little walks. A warm bed. A lap to cuddle into. And someone she can belong to again. At 11 years old, Ruby deserves to know that wherever she goes next… she never has to leave again.

  • Diego – Photo 1 of 1

    Diego

    French Bulldog · 12 years · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

DIEGO IS WAITING FOR HIS SOMEONE There’s no denying that Diego is a stunning boy. With that fluffy coat and gorgeous wee face, he’s the kind of dog people notice. But we really hope someone falls in love with who Diego is, not just what he looks like. Because underneath all that fluff is the loveliest wee soul. Diego is a gorgeous French Bulldog with a wonderful nature. He gets on really well with other dogs, is lovely to walk on the lead and has so much love and fun to bring to the right home. He can be a little mouthy when he’s playing — there is absolutely no badness in him, he just gets carried away having fun! For that reason, we’re looking for a home with children aged 12+. Like many Frenchies, Diego also has a sensitive tummy. He needs a specific diet and, when he finds a food that suits him, it’s important that his new family keeps him on the same brand. A small commitment for the person who gets to call this beautiful boy theirs. Diego doesn’t need anything extraordinary. He needs someone who will see beyond the fluffy coat, understand his little quirks and promise that, when they choose him, they’re choosing him for life. He’ll give you friendship, laughs, lovely walks and more love than you could ever ask for in return. Somewhere out there is the person Diego has been waiting for. We just need to help them find each other. •

    DSH · 12 weeks · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Olivia is the pudgiest of her siblings, which makes her simply adorable😊 But she’s not just adorable because of her plump belly, she’s also great fun to have around: she doesn’t seem to know that ‘no’ could also be an answer and seems to operate on a ‘yes’ to everything basis😊 In her foster home, Olivia has earned herself the nickname Cat Tree Hugger – because she loves to hang around the cat tree, sometimes throwing her paws around it in a great big hug and just staying there in that position for ages😊 If you would like to welcome this chubby cherub into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below. And if you could also offer Olivia the chance to get to spend her life with her brother Rory, that would be the stuff of dreams😊

  • Busia – Photo 1 of 1

    Busia

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 5 years · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Busia is a little bit special: she has been recently diagnosed as being FIV-positive. This means that she needs to stay indoors to avoid contracting any viruses or other nasties, and then she can have a full, happy life. Busia has been dubbed the Queen of Bunting, as she loves nothing more than nuzzling your forehead😊 Busia is also a girl who knows the value of good appearances, so she loves getting groomed with a brush. In fact, Busia is a very relaxed and gentle individual in general, and while you wouldn’t call her a lap cat, she most certainly enjoys being close to her human😊 As a great food enthusiast, Busia has managed to pile on a few extra pounds and is now having to lose some of it. But with guidance and proper diet, she can do it! If you would like to welcome this temperate sweetheart into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

    Leona

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 12 weeks · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Two weeks in foster care have revealed Leona’s previously very well-hidden secret: she is one of the biggest fans of cuddles with humans😊 And her purr machine is always primed and ready to go: all it takes is one gentle touch of her silky coat and she’s off. The only thing she loves more than back rubs are belly rubs😉 And the company of her favourite sister, Lisa: indeed, sometimes it feels like those two are glued to one another. They always sleep together, they seem to read each other’s minds when it comes to playtime activities, and when one of them is lounging on a human lap, the other will most definitely come and join in. Ideally, we would love to see Leona and Lisa find a home together, as their bond is quite remarkable. If you would like to welcome these sweet sisters into your life, please get in touch with us here below.

    Lisa

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 12 weeks · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Lisa and her 3 siblings (Leona, Rory and Olivia) were brought to a KLAWS volunteer’s door by their mama when they were about 9 weeks old. Now their mother has been spayed, and the kitties are ready for their forever adventures😊 Lisa is a striking beauty, there’s no two ways about that – the dark, fluffy tips of her ears, her ever-captivating eyes and the beauty spot on her nose are pretty much as cute as it gets😊 And then there’s her personality, which matches her looks, actually, and is endlessly endearing. Just like her BFF sister, Leona, Lisa is also the owner of a very easily triggered internal purr machine – it really doesn’t take much for it to go all the way up to eleven😉 If there’s a place by your fireside for this beautiful belle (hopefully together with her bestie, Leona), please get in touch with us here below.

  • Rory – Photo 1 of 1

    Rory

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 12 weeks · Male

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

From day one at KLAWS, Rory has been drawn to humans: he’s always the first to greet you with a friendly headbutt as you walk in the door. He was also the first one from his siblings to make the human lap his own little sanctuary😊 Rory’s pretty much always ready to have all kinds of fun – with toys, his siblings, ‘catching fish’ on a rod. And as a real foodie, he’s always available to help choose which variety of wet food they all shall have for breakfast😉 If you would like to welcome this very-easy-to-love boy cat into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below. You know what would be even better, from Rory’s point of view? If he could spend the rest of his life with his favourite sister, Olivia, who’s so similar to him in so many ways, she could well be his soulmate😊
