Josie
Saluki / Whippet · Approx 1 year old · Female
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Josie This sweet girl was found straying with a damaged leg. Unfortunately it was too far gone by the time she was rescued and had to be amputated. She has now recovered from her surgery and is ready to start searching for her forever family. She is an absolute sweetheart who loves everyone she meets and will require unlimited belly rubs from her new family. She is still young and is playful and energetic; she loves soft toys and will happily entertain herself with them. Josie is your typical Sighthound; LOVES her zoomies but ADORES being lazy and doted on when she’s done with them. She could happily live with a canine companion too. Saluki / Whippet Approx 1 year old She is in the process of finishing up her paperwork but is vaccinated, treated for worms and parasites and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting Josie please email adoptionsmcar@gmail.com or WhatsApp 0894007925. MC Number: 97********** #adoptdontshop #mocharaanimalrescue #saluki #josie

Shane
Dog · 5 months old · Male
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Our poor darling Shane is being overlooked and left behind time and time again. Shane has been with us almost 2 months, considering he’s only 5 months old that’s way too long for him to not be in a loving home with a family of his own. His sister, Kirsty, who he arrived with has gone to a lovely home and 3 of his kennel mates while he’s been here have been adopted. We now need to find him a new friend/kennel mate as his last buddy left today for his new home. We don’t want Shane to spend any more time in rescue than he has. He is super sweet, affectionate and playful and would make a wonderful family pet as he loves everyone. Please consider this lovely boy if you’re thinking of adding a new member to your family.

Terry
Terrier · Approx. 3 years old · Male
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Terry the Terrier Terry was found by a member of the public and never reclaimed so he has arrived at the rescue and is ready to search for his forever home. It appears Terry came from a home as he is well socialised, in good condition and a very friendly chappy. He is sweet as can be and loves a god cuddle with his favourite person. He could possibly live with another dog pending a meet and greet. He would make a lovely addition to any type of family as he’s energetic enough to keep up with kiddies but would also appreciate a calm adults-only home. Approx. 3 years old Terrier He’s in the process of getting his vet work and paperwork in order so if you’re interested please reach out to us at adoptionsmcar@gmail.com if you’d like to discuss this little man. #mocharaanimalrescue #adoptdontshop #terrier #terry

Hugo
Lurcher mix · 15-18 month old · Male
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Hugo is still searching for a forever home Hugo arrived to us back in late April / early May 2026. He had been in Dublin County Dog Shelter since Sept / Oct of 2025 after being surrendered by his owner and was really struggling. Hugo is a 15-18 month old Male Lurcher mix. Hugo had grown up in a small back garden, with little interaction with the outside world, missing that crucial early socialisation made busy pound kennels even more upsetting for him. Despite all the amazing work of the @dublincountydog shelter he was just not thriving in kennels the noise was too much for him and he was so overwhelmed. He even celebrated his 1st Birthday in the pound and got a balloon and cake to celebrate but still no home offers came for him. So Hugo arrived to us .. where hes been relaxing and sleeping since He's a very chilled out fella, he requires very little, a comfy bed, a tennis ball and he will be your friend. He would enjoy a quiter home where he can go on his walks and then relax in his garden or on the couch or in his crate which he loves. Hugo is a lovely happy dog, he enjoys the quiter life and would be an ideal dog for someone who enjoys going on a leisurely hike at the weekend and relaxing during the week. His ideal home will be: • With or without another dog. • He would love to continue with his crate as he finds great peace in it. • Ideal appartment dog • No Cats • dog savvy kids and parents. • He is fully vaccinated microchipped and castrated. He also has his own passport so can travel abroad. If you'd like to offer him his own forever home please pm the page to start the process #lurcher #lurcherlove #sighthound #adoptdontshop

Wren
Wirehaired German Pointer · 6 year old · Female
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Wren is a 6 year old Wirehaired German Pointer female ( weighing in at about 30 -35kg ) who needs a new home. Wren was adopted from us 4 years ago with Milo the Lab. She had arrived from us from the old South Tipperary Dog Pound after she was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. She was subsequently adopted from us, and a female dog was added a few years later, unfortunately there has been scuffles between the 2 females .. ( the male lab has never been an issue ) and in short Hilda is now back with us and looking for a new home. She is completely heartbroken at her change in circumstances and we would love to get her back into a home as soon as possible. Wren is gentle on the lead, fully crate trained, quite a lazy girl and enjoys spending most of the day sleeping She pays no heed to other dogs out walking or as they pass her kennel. Her ideal home will be: • Either as an only dog or with a quite large breed male. • no cats • She has lived with kids for the last 4 years so can live with respectful children. • She is fully crate trained. • She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Patterdale x · Approx. 1 y.o. · Female
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Paloma Paloma was found with her 3 pups dumped in the countryside and left to fend for themselves. They were covered in mange and had wormy tummies on top of their horrible ordeal. 2 of her 3 pups have gone to brilliant new families and Paloma is almost ready to find her Happily Ever After. Freddie
German Shepherd x (possibly Malinois) · 5 months old · Male
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Freddie Freddie was adopted from us a few months ago and recently returned due to an illness in the family. He is super friendly and loves people and other dogs equally so could live with another dog in his new home. He very much enjoys a belly rub and won’t be afraid to let you know whenever he’d like one. Due to his breed, German Shepherd x (possibly Malinois), he will need A LOT of exercise and stimulation. He has bags of energy and is a working breed so will not be content lying on the couch or in his bed for most of the day. An active household/owner is an absolute MUST and applications that are not suitable will not be considered unfortunately. He would benefit from someone being at home most of the time at least until he settles in and learns a routine. He is intelligent and already has some basic commands from his previous home. A neutering agreement is a necessary part of the adoption process as he is under 6 months old currently. 5 months old MC Number: 97**********4706 If this bundle of energy may be the right fit for you, please get in touch with us at adoptionsmcar@gmail.com with a phone number and info on your household/lifestyle. #mocharaanimalrescue #adoptdontshop #gsd

She also loves a treat and will eat any kind you want to give him, he’s not the most discerning when it comes to treats, he’s more like a hoover! He’s friendly and loveable, he enjoys affection and alllll the attention. He would love to be an only dog but could live with a female pending a meet and greet here at the rescue. Cian
Lurcher · 5 months old · Male
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Cian Cian came in as a stray a few weeks ago and was unfortunately suffering from mange which must’ve been very sore and uncomfortable for the poor pet. He is now recovered and we’re seeing more and more of his personality everyday. Cian is the most affectionate puppy, he absolutely loves cuddles, hugs, being held, sitting on your lap etc. He is the sweetest and would make a wonderful mellow addition to any family. He lives with some other puppies we have here at the rescue at the moment so would have no problem with a k9 companion but would be equally happy to be the centre of attention. Puppies are a 10+ year commitment so please take this into consideration before applying. Cian is microchipped, vaccinated and treated for parasites. A neutering agreement must be signed for adoption. 5 months old Lurcher #mocharaanimalrescue #adoptdontshop #lurcher #cian MC Number: 97**********6694
