  • Zeus – Photo 1 of 5

    Zeus

    €245adoption fee

    Cross / Staffordshire Bull Terrier · 2 years · Male · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

2 year old Staffy cross Zeus, is a pocket bully. He was brought in through our inspectors. He can be a little unsure of new people at first so for that reason an adult home with experience would be the most ideal. He has made so many friends here at the shelter though, we know in a home his confidence will grow quickly. Zeus could potentially live with another dog that could help him gain his confidence. Despite being shy at first, this guy has an active side and loves cuddles so he just needs a little time in the right home. Can you open your heart and home to this gorgeous boy? To adopt a dog from our Dublin center, we highly recommend a visit to our site on Mount Venus Road. We are open Tuesday to Sunday 12-4 and no appointment is needed to visit. You can chat to the team about any suitable dogs for your family, fill in an application onsite and most importantly… meet with any suitable dogs! Alternatively you can fill out an online expression of interest and you will hear from our team via phone or email over the coming days. Please be advised an online expression of interest does not reserve a dog, a visit to the center will still be required to activate your application and you may need to fill in further forms on your visit.

  • Tegan – Photo 1 of 12

    Tegan

    €275adoption fee

    Crossbreed · 7 years · Female · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Tegan is gentle giant who has a sweet and gentle temperament. Despite her size she is as timid as a mouse and takes time to get to know people. She can be worried by new people but getting to know them is made sweeter if they have her favourite thing, a tennis ball! She will play fetch for hours given the chance and acts like a giddy puppy during playtime! Tegan is a very strong girl, so she does need help with training around loose lead walking. Her carers at Dogs Trust will be happy to show you how to achieve this in the home. She loves her food and takes treats very gracefully from you with admirable manners. Tegan is dreaming of an adult only home that will help in her confidence building and becoming familiar with strange noises gradually. She will need to live in an area that is quieter than average, with little traffic and very few visitors to the home as the world is very scary for Tegan right now. She will rely on her close knit family unit to support her and help her grow in confidence while she learns what it is really like to live in a home. Having a garden will be fantastic for Tegan to have an outdoor space she can explore and relax in when the outside world is initially scary. Tegan may take some time to come round, but watching her go from stregnth to strength is endlessly rewarding and we are sure you will fall for her just like we all have!

    Henry

    €150adoption fee

    Frenchie · 6 years · Male · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Henry is a 6 year old french bulldog, he is a typical messer French Bulldog, he’s full of fun, silly energy and he’s very affectionate. His happiest place is sitting on your lap on the couch. Henry loves going for walks, most of the time. Like a lot of French Bulldogs he will sometimes refuse to budge. He is not a fan of cleaning and is reactive to mops, hoovers and moving cloths. He just needs to be in another room when you clean. Henry has no problem with anywhere on his face or body being touched but hates having his nails trimmed. He does suffer from seasonal allergies for which he gets medication but is otherwise a healthy dog. He is well socialised around dogs but is not a fan of cats. Henry is very clever and responds to commands like sit, stay, come, got to bed. He will do whatever you want to get treats! He is an anxious dog and gets stressed when there are too many people in the house or when there are loud noises. He would be best suited to a quiet, predictable home with no children or possibly teenagers familiar with dogs. When he gets stressed or overstimulated he can communicate this by jumping and has nipped at hands a couple of times in the past. This is not aggression but a reaction to being overstimulated. He can be distracted by treats or telling him to go to bed. Due to changing circumstances in our family we can no longer give him the attention and quiet, safe space he deserves so we are reluctantly looking to rehome him.

Belgian Shepherd Dog (Malinois) Cross · 1 year · Male · Large

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

Say hi to Frankie! Frankie is a bright, sensitive boy whos ready to find a committed home where he can truly thrive. Hes incredibly intelligent and loves learning, especially when it involves tasty treats and his favourite toys , both of which he absolutely adores! Hes searching for an adult only family who will continue his journey with positive, reward-based training and help grow his confidence. He has been working on his greetings of other dogs as he can find this very over exciting, so he will be best as the only pet for now. Frankie would love a home where he can relax, play, and learn at his own pace. Hes a sensitive soul who may be unsure around new people at first, but with patience and kindness, he builds lovely bonds and truly shines. Frankie enjoys getting out and about, but quieter walking areas will suit him best, he may prefer scenic drives to peaceful spots where he can explore without too much going on. This special boy is ready for a fresh chapter filled with kindness, patience, and encouragement. If youre someone who understands that the most rewarding relationships take a little time and effort, Frankie could be the perfect companion for you.

    Lurcher · 3 years · Male · Medium

    Co. Dublin, Ireland

3 year old Coinin is a happy, social boy, he was found as a stray. He loves the company of other dogs so would suit a home that already has a dog. Coinin loves his walks and enjoys having space to run, explore and burn off energy; he could live in an apartment provided he gets enough daily time to run! After this he will happily curl on the couch. He is bouncy at times so a family with older children would be best. Coinin is a fun and affectionate boy who will make a wonderful companion. Could you be the one to give him his forever home? To adopt a dog from our Dublin center, we highly recommend a visit to our site on Mount Venus Road.
