  • Curtains & Fringe – Photo 1 of 1
    Pair

    Curtains & Fringe

    from£90adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 4 months · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Curtains and Fringe are two bonded brothers who are hoping to find themselves a new home together! These two handsome boys were admitted into our care after being found alone as younger kittens who had cat flu. After treatment from our vet team and time spent with our animal care team, these brothers are now ready to start the search for their forever home. Although they were a little shy when they first arrived, their confidence has grown more and more each day as well as their brotherly bond that is a joy to watch! These gorgeous boys have really come out of their shells and are now full of character. They love darting around their pen, climbing to the highest spots they can find, and keeping themselves busy with toys. After burning off all that kitten energy, they're more than happy to settle down in a cosy bed for a well-earned snooze. Fringe is the more confident of the two and is often the first to investigate something new or the first to greet people, while sweet boy Curtains is a bit more reserved and takes comfort from having his brother by his side. Once fully settled and confident in their new home, Curtains and Fringe would enjoy having safe outdoor access, giving them the opportunity to explore the outside world when they are ready. These boys would love homes where they can enjoy plenty of playtime, enrichment, and affection. They could live with sensible, understanding children who are used to cats and are able to give them plenty of space and understand that building confidence in their new home can take some time. It is unknown how they would react around other pets in the home but may be able to share their home with another friendly cat or cat-friendly dog following gradual introductions.

  • Mustang – Photo 1 of 1

    Mustang

    from£90adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 8 years · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Mustang was surrendered into our care back in January as her owner could no longer continue care for her. When she arrived at our centre she weighed 7.5kg and immediately began her weight loss journey. This was a slow process, but this beautiful kitty has made fantastic progress, now weighing nearly 5kg. Mustang's new family will need to continue managing her weight to help her reach a healthy target. Mustang has spent time in foster care, where she has adapted well to a home environment. She enjoys affection and will happily curl up on your lap, but prefers attention on her own terms and often forms a close bond with one person. She is an active, playful cat who loves teaser toys and is highly food motivated. She enjoys enrichment activities and already knows her name, "sit," and "reach." She currently uses a slow-feeder ball to encourage movement and make mealtimes more engaging. Mustang can become overstimulated, so play and enrichment should be offered in shorter sessions throughout the day. This may improve once she has access to the outdoors after settling into her new home. Mustang is looking for a home where she can be the only pet , as she does not get along with other cats or dogs. She would suit an adult-only home, although she could potentially live with cat-savvy teenagers aged 16 years and older who are sensible around cats.

  • Sugar – Photo 1 of 1

    Sugar

    from£90adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 8 months · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Sugar was admitted into our care as a young kitten who was found after being involved a suspected road traffic accident. After examination by our veterinary team, it was found that he had a fractured pelvis. After several months of cage rest and after getting lots of TLC, he is ready to find his forever home! Sugar is recovering well and nothing holds him back! He is an extremely handsome and sweet boy who adores people and loves getting lots of attention. He loves cuddling up to our staff and volunteers but also has a very playful, boisterous side, as he loves to chase his toys around the room! Due to his pelvic injury, Sugar would be best suited in a calm home, where he could be an indoor only cat initially to allow for close monitoring while he continues to build strength and stability in his pelvis. Once settled into his new home and showing improved strength and mobility, he can then gradually be given access to the outdoors. He would also love a home where his new owners are around for most of the day to help him settle and adjust into his new environment. He would also love to have lots of cosy spots where he can lie back and relax, watching the world go by! Sugar would be best suited to an adult-only home . It is unknown how he would react to other pets in the home.

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Rooster came into our care after being found with his siblings by a member of the public. After receiving lots of care and attention from our animal care team, he is now ready to find his forever home. Like many kittens, Rooster can be a little shy when meeting new people. However, with patience, kindness and a little time, he soon begins to relax and let his playful personality shine through. Once he feels comfortable, he enjoys gentle fuss from his favourite people. Rooster is a curious kitten who loves to play, explore and wrestle with his other feline friends, keeping himself entertained with toys and anything new to investigate. He would thrive in a home that can provide plenty of enrichment, playtime and opportunities to continue building his confidence as he grows. • Dutch – Photo 1 of 1

    Dutch

    from£185adoption fee

    German Shepherd · 3 years · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Meet our handsome boy Dutch! Dutch is a lovely German Shepherd, estimated to be around 3 years old, who came into our care as an injured stray in February. After a thorough veterinary examination, Dutch was diagnosed with cruciate ligament damage in his right knee and has since underwent corrective surgery. Since then, Dutch has made great progress with his recovery. He has settled in well to kennel life and continues to build up his strength and fitness each day with the support of our animal care team. Dutch is an incredibly friendly and affectionate boy who absolutely loves people. He has become a firm favourite with our team, enjoying nothing more than saying hello to staff and volunteers and meeting people when he is out on his walks! Dutch is still gradually building up his exercise levels and thoroughly enjoys getting out for his walks. He loves to sniff and explore his surroundings and take in all the interesting sights and smells. He also enjoys enrichment activities, with frozen kongs and food-based puzzles being his favourite! Dutch would be best suited to a home with owners who have experience of German Shepherds or similar breeds, where his new family will understand his ongoing needs following surgery. This will include ongoing joint supplements and possible pain relief to help keep him comfortable. While he is recovering very well, it will be important that his exercise continues to be managed appropriately and that he is not overexerted. Dutch could live with sensible older teenagers who are confident around large dogs. He is not suitable to live with cats. He would prefer to be the only dog in the home.

    Cheeto

    from£90adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 5 months · Male

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Cheeto was admitted into our care along with his sibling as young kittens after being found abandoned suffering from a bad case of cat flu. After treatment, he is now ready to find himself his new home. It took some time for Cheeto to settle into cattery life, as he was initially quite shy and nervous. However after several months within our care, he has started to come out of his shell and shown our team his playful, affectionate personality. He has a playful and curious nature, and enjoys spending time playing with his toys. He can at times still be wary of loud noises and new people so will need a family who understand that he may take some time to settle into a new environment. Due to having cat flu at a young age, Cheeto's lungs sound slightly louder than normal, this is believed to be the result of chronic respiratory damage. This does not hold Cheeto back and he lives a normal life, being a typical, happy, active kitten! He will need to be an indoor-only cat. Cheeto would suit a family who have experience with cats and would prefer to live in a household with children over the age of 10 years old , who understand that it may take him some time to settle into his new environment. It is unknown how he would react around other pets in the household, but may be able to share his home with another cat of similar personality or another cat-friendly dog with gradual introductions.
