About Rio

Meet Rio Rio is our newest arrival after he was surrendered by his owner due to a lack of time. Rio was purchased as a Cockapoo puppy 5 years ago, but has turned out to be a red cocker spaniel. He was living with his owners parents who had a German Shepard male who he didnt get on with, and was moved to back to his owners .. unfortunately he was bored there and on one occasion when he was alone for 12 hours he chewed the back garden fence. He was also crying when left home alone for more than 6 hours ( he is fine to be left for shorter periods of time and we have also started his crate training here ). For this reason and a lack of time he was surrendered into our care to find him a more suitable home. Rio is under assessment currently but he will soon be looking for his own forever home We will take preliminary applications for him as we continue to get to know him.
