Hugo
Lurcher mix · 15-18 month old · Male
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Hugo is still searching for a forever home Hugo arrived to us back in late April / early May 2026. He had been in Dublin County Dog Shelter since Sept / Oct of 2025 after being surrendered by his owner and was really struggling. Hugo is a 15-18 month old Male Lurcher mix. Hugo had grown up in a small back garden, with little interaction with the outside world, missing that crucial early socialisation made busy pound kennels even more upsetting for him. Despite all the amazing work of the @dublincountydog shelter he was just not thriving in kennels the noise was too much for him and he was so overwhelmed. He even celebrated his 1st Birthday in the pound and got a balloon and cake to celebrate but still no home offers came for him. So Hugo arrived to us .. where hes been relaxing and sleeping since He's a very chilled out fella, he requires very little, a comfy bed, a tennis ball and he will be your friend. He would enjoy a quiter home where he can go on his walks and then relax in his garden or on the couch or in his crate which he loves. Hugo is a lovely happy dog, he enjoys the quiter life and would be an ideal dog for someone who enjoys going on a leisurely hike at the weekend and relaxing during the week. His ideal home will be: • With or without another dog. • He would love to continue with his crate as he finds great peace in it. • Ideal appartment dog • No Cats • dog savvy kids and parents. • He is fully vaccinated microchipped and castrated. He also has his own passport so can travel abroad. If you'd like to offer him his own forever home please pm the page to start the process #lurcher #lurcherlove #sighthound #adoptdontshop

Wren
Wirehaired German Pointer · 6 year old · Female
Co. Tipperary, Ireland
Wren is a 6 year old Wirehaired German Pointer female ( weighing in at about 30 -35kg ) who needs a new home. Wren was adopted from us 4 years ago with Milo the Lab. She had arrived from us from the old South Tipperary Dog Pound after she was picked up as a stray and never reclaimed. She was subsequently adopted from us, and a female dog was added a few years later, unfortunately there has been scuffles between the 2 females .. ( the male lab has never been an issue ) and in short Hilda is now back with us and looking for a new home. She is completely heartbroken at her change in circumstances and we would love to get her back into a home as soon as possible. Wren is gentle on the lead, fully crate trained, quite a lazy girl and enjoys spending most of the day sleeping She pays no heed to other dogs out walking or as they pass her kennel. Her ideal home will be: • Either as an only dog or with a quite large breed male. • no cats • She has lived with kids for the last 4 years so can live with respectful children. • She is fully crate trained. • She is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. If youd like to offer her a forever home please pm the page to start the process #adoptdontshop #rescueisourfavoritebreed #thehavenrescueteam #wirrhairedpointer #gwp
