Freddie is settling so well in his new home. It was always a worry because he had never known life without his elderly owner. She had him since a puppy. Back when he first came in (August) he was pining for her and it took far too long to get him eating properly and for an older dog that is a real strain on the organs. But in true Freddie style he put his big girl knickers on and bravely looked forward in life and accepted what he had. But he never really suited life as a farm dog and when we were advised of his owners failing health we started to search for a home who would spoil him in the way he was used to. I am so pleased to say that we found the absolute perfect place for him where he wants for nothing and unlike here, when he left us, there was no pining or any of that nonsense. He was straight to the food bowl and filling his tummy! Clearly the bond I thought we had was a one way street The next golden oldie on the list to find a home for is Trixie the Corgi cross. She should be going off to her new home very soon to a lady who is so excited to adopt! Sadly the list of dogs needing help continues to grow so freeing up her kennel will be of great help.
