  • Gus – Photo 1 of 1

    Gus

    Terrier · 6 yrs old · Male

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Little Gus is still hoping to be adopted and find a home of his own Gus is now 6 yrs old. He is your typical terrier. Full of himself and so nosey. He has to check everything out. He is fine with dogs but would love a female companion if he had a choice. We tested him with cats. He was interested but then just walked away so dog savvy cats would suit. Gus is amazing on the lead. No pull no bark non problematic. The home gus would love. An older man or couple living alone. He would be a super companion and watch dog. A farm situation would also be fantastic as he fancies himself as a good mouser. He would also thrive in an equine yard.

  • Busia – Photo 1 of 1

    Busia

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 5 years · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Busia is a little bit special: she has been recently diagnosed as being FIV-positive. This means that she needs to stay indoors to avoid contracting any viruses or other nasties, and then she can have a full, happy life. Busia has been dubbed the Queen of Bunting, as she loves nothing more than nuzzling your forehead😊 Busia is also a girl who knows the value of good appearances, so she loves getting groomed with a brush. In fact, Busia is a very relaxed and gentle individual in general, and while you wouldn’t call her a lap cat, she most certainly enjoys being close to her human😊 As a great food enthusiast, Busia has managed to pile on a few extra pounds and is now having to lose some of it. But with guidance and proper diet, she can do it! If you would like to welcome this temperate sweetheart into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

    Banksy & Shadow

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 1 year

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Banksy and Shadow like human company, once they know and trust you. The beginning of your acquaintance might be a little subdued and they may seem a bit shy at first. But as soon as they have realized that you are a friendly creature who comes to them in peace, they quickly relax around you😊 These two scamps love the company of other cats, as that’s a great opportunity for fun, playful times. But even just having each other is better than being the only feline around, seems to be their firmly held belief. And we can’t argue with that😊 Their foster mom has been trying to get them used to different household noises: the dishwasher, washing machine, etc. And they’re making progress, although they are still afraid of the hoover, but then can you blame them😉 If you would like to offer these lovely furballs a place by your fireside, please get in touch with us here below.

  • Mr. Steed – Photo 1 of 1

    Mr. Steed

    €250adoption fee

    ¾ Collie, ¼ Pointer · 11 months · Male

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Mr. Steed has been called an ideal pet, and some days that seems like an understatement😊 Mr. Steed is very sociable, highly affectionate and super gentle. He loves the company of other dogs, adores children, and, as if all that wasn’t enough, he gets on famously with cats, too😊 The one thing Mr. Steed is not is a chaser, which in the world of pet dogs is always a welcome quality, of course, and just another feather in his cap😉 When it comes to livestock (sheep, pigs, horses in this case), Mr. Steed has proven to be a total gentleman around them, too😊 If you would like to welcome this gem of a pooch into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

  • Lucy – Photo 1 of 1

    Lucy

    €250adoption fee

    Collie · 9 months · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Lucy is a very special little collie girl – namely, she is deaf. She was born to a fine working dog mama, but since Lucy is hearing-impaired, she will not be able to become a working dog herself. But that’s okay, because Lucy has all the makings of a perfect pet😊 She is simply adorable: she’s very good-natured and exceptionally affectionate, and on top of that she’s always up for fun and playful good times😊 Lucy really likes the company of other dogs and the human smallies: as far as she’s concerned, they’re simply the best! She hasn’t met cats yet, so we can’t tell you how she’d react to them – approach with caution would probably be good advice to begin with😊 If there’s anything in this world Lucy likes as much or even more than her human and canine playmates, it’s food! It doesn’t take much coaxing to get her attention when food’s involved😉 Lucy would benefit from a loving forever home with people who have the time and patience to teach her communication with hand signs and other visual cues. And the good news is that Lucy's already started training with her foster mom and she really seems to enjoy it😊

  • Commodore – Photo 1 of 1

    Commodore

    €100adoption fee

    DSH · 12 weeks · Female

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Ms. Commodore is super energetic and playful, and her favourite pastime is sneaking up on humans, dogs, and other cats😊 When she’s not busy surprising other members of the household, she gives her full attention to finding (and re-hiding) hidden treasures – there’s no place for dull moments when Commodore’s around😊 But once she's tired after all the fun and frolicking, she will curl up on your chest to purr and cuddle, and then purr and cuddle some more. Commodore is a little bit special: she is blind in one eye, but that does not hinder her in the slightest😊 In fact, you can barely tell that she's vision-impaired, except that she occasionally runs into things and turns her head at some super cute angles to see things. She would probably do well in a home with high-energy friends to play with, whether it’s kids over the age of 10 or simply lively adults😊 If you would like to welcome this fun and friendly little feline into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

  • Rudy – Photo 1 of 4

    Rudy

    Dog · 8 year old · Male

    Co. Kerry, Ireland

Sometimes we are asked to help out families whose circumstances have changed and find they are no longer able to care for their greyhound. Gorgeous 8 year old Rudy has found himself in the position and although his family have tried to make things work he is struggling with the new situation He is described by them, “Rudy loves his walks and is very good on the lead. He's not really into toys but enjoys treat training and most food enrichment games/bits. He's a people person and greets everyone with a wagging tail and likely a licks too. What he really loves the most is food and can be quite the thief if something's there for the taking! He tends not to be a couch potato as means he'll probably have to share the space but loves a big bed and will lie down the end and give humans the top half. His ideal day is long walks, lots of treats and big nap on the human bed. A chilled house with or without another greyhound would suit. He's good enough with other dogs as long as they are not too excitable” If you are able to offer Rudy a home in Ireland, with no cats and without young children please contact us at HUG #rescuegreyhound #rescuegreys #greyhoundsmakegreatpets #rescuegreyhounds #rescuegreyhoundsofinstagram #hugsyhound
