Pretty little bay lass who is 17yrs old. Biscuit is approx 10’2 A real easy keeper, only has to look at grass and she gets fat!!! She arrived to us with her mother and they are most often seen together but unfortunately her mother suffers with sweet itch so Biscuit is available for rehoming without her mother. She can be aloof about being caught but once on the lead rope she is happily groomed, etc. Biscuit is too quick for inexperienced children to be around.

Megan is approximately 12yrs old and stands around 10 hands high. Having come from a “survival of the fittest” type of place she has been a long time deciding whether humans were worth getting to know or not, can’t say we blame her given the amount of fear and hunger she & her friends would have endured for years before being rescued. We are glad to say Megan has had a change of heart about our two legged species and a few special moments have been shared, those are the moments we live for and the reason we do what we do.

Meet Julie Karen and her best friend Esteban Both rescued from the horse pound, its obvious that they have both had a difficult life before coming to MLHR as they don't trust humans and like to keep themselves to themselves. Julie Karen is 16 years old and Esteban is 15 and a half years old. We would love to find them an experienced home together, even though they are two of the smallest ponies here at MLHR their trust issues make it difficult to handle them bit we believe in the right hands they will flourish

Sweetie came into our care in Feb 2022 as a foal. Sweetie was left with her mother who had died in a stream. Initially Sweetie was extremely shy of people and nervous. She can still be quite shy with new people so she would really benefit form some 1:1 time. She is extremely curious and independent and would make an amazing companion pony. Sweetie is standing at approx 12:2 and is 5 years old. Tory came into our care in Sept 2021 Tory is an Absolute sweetheart. She loves to interact with other animals on the farm. She is a very calm and friendly pony who would make an amazing companion. She has been best friends with sweetie since the day they arrived together ❤️ Tory is six years old. We would love for Sweetie and Tory to find a home together. They have been together the last two and a half years and are very bonded. Meet Nessa. She is a 12.3 companion only pony and she is sixteen and a half years old. Nessa was rescued from the horse pound in 2021 and she was in foal. She had a beautiful little filly and was a super mum to Aifric. Now we would love to find Nessa a loving home of her own. Nessa is brilliant to catch and handle but needs some work with having her hooves done.

Lars

Meet Lars. He is standing at 129cm / 12.2hh and is a Skewbald gelding. Lars is 3yrs 8mths and would be ready to start training when he is four. Lars is always alert, exceptionally intelligent and has a good sense of self preservation. He is handsome, bright eyed and once he gets to know and trust you, he is eager to please. He is generally easy to handle, enjoys a good groom and, given time, forms a special bond with his special person. He has encountered kids on bicycles, kids playing soccer, vehicles, dogs and sheep and is not bothered by any. He still needs work with handling his feet, but behaves for the farrier when his feet get trimmed. Lars is hardy and can live out all year round so long as there is shelter. He gets a good winter coat and does not need a rug. He doesn't mind wearing a rug if it makes his owner feel better. Lars has a lovely long natural mane and is happy to stand and let you work out and fairy knots. Anyone looking for a handsome pony to teach tricks to should consider this gem.
