Meet Charlie, a handsome Collie with a clever mind, an affectionate heart and plenty of energy to share. He’s looking for a calm, understanding home where he can continue to build his confidence and enjoy life at his own pace. Charlie is a wonderful Collie who thrives on companionship and loves spending time with his people. Affectionate and incredibly intelligent, he's a quick learner who enjoys training, belly rubs and being part of the family. He can get very excited when meeting new people because all he really wants is to be loved. Charlie would do best as the only dog in the home. While he can learn to be around other dogs, he needs time to build trust and can be reactive, so a home without canine companions will allow him to feel more relaxed and secure. Like many Collies, Charlie is active and enjoys having both physical exercise and mental stimulation. His ideal home would be in the countryside or a quiet area with a large, secure garden where he can run, play and explore. He'd love an active owner who can enjoy runs or games with him away from busy places, as unfamiliar or crowded environments can make him anxious. Charlie walks well on the lead and has been trained to comfortably wear a muzzle when out and about. This is simply to keep him safe if he becomes overwhelmed in unfamiliar situations. He also travels well in the car and is happy to come along on adventures. Charlie is not suitable to live with cats and is looking for a home with children aged 10 years and over . With the right home, Charlie will reward his family with unwavering loyalty, affection and a lifetime of companionship.
Meet the 3 cutest Jack Russell’s, Rosie, Rhylee and Ruby Unfortunately their owner sadly passed away and they came to Almost Home, but these 3 sweetie pies have been a dream to care for. They are very settled, very clean and very happy and easy going dogs We recently had them to the private dog park and they absolutely had a blast! They may be a little bit older, but still young at heart, they enjoyed running about and of course had to get a pup cup They always say having 3 dogs is better than 1
Lovely girl Megan is ready to find her forever home, shes a 4 year old staffy with plenty of love to give! She arrived in such a sorry state, brought in as a welfare case, tiny and scrawny, extremely underweight and a prolapse. She’s now at a healthy weight with her prolapse fixed Despite her hard start to life she is such a friendly girl and loves people, she loves giving kisses She loves getting out for her walks, and then loves getting cosy in her bed after She’s extremely food motivated which should make training a lot easier for her! She prefers her own space so being the only animal at home would be best for Megan! As we don’t know much about her past, she would be best with a family with older children who are dog savy.
Meet Igloo, a sweet and lovable hound cross with a playful spirit just waiting to shine. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time and you will quickly discover his goofy, affectionate, and fun-loving personality. Once he feels comfortable, Igloo is happiest exploring the world around him, enjoying adventures, and spending time with his people. This handsome boy is very food motivated, so treats are the perfect way to win him over and help him learn. With some gentle guidance and basic training, Igloo will thrive and love showing off just how clever he can be. Igloo also enjoys the company of other polite dogs and could make a wonderful companion for another friendly canine. He is looking for a patient and understanding home where someone will be around most of the time initially to help him settle in. Over time, with reassurance and consistency, he will gradually build confidence being left alone. Igloo is a truly lovely dog with so much love and joy to give to the right family.
“A Little Bit About Me” Cricket was adopted from us as a puppy but unfortunately was surrendered back into our care as family circumstances changed – these cases are particularly hard as the dog finds it very difficult to adapt into kennel life again after being out in the world. Poor Cricket is getting stressed in kennels and needs a particular type of experienced owner to come and meet him to see if we can give him the chance and life he so deserves. Cricket is a Shepherd x, he is 4 years old and has beautiful markings and he really has the most amazing eyes • He is neutered, vaccinated & microchipped • Cricket would like a home with no children, because he is very strong. • He is very energetic and loves running to leave off steam – true to his breed • Cricket can walk with another dog and dogs can walk past him – he is not reactive this way – he just wishes for his own pad • He travels very well in the car looking at the world outside • Cricket is very clever & quick to learn new skills • He just needs to get to know you and trust you • Cricket is very good on the lead – he can be quite strong so he walks on his harness – you will certainly get a good walk inIf you feel you can be that person / couple for Cricket please get in touch adoptions@paws.ie

Meet Tiko, a gentle and sensitive boy looking for a calm home where he can truly blossom. Tiko can be a little reserved when meeting new people and likes to take his time sussing things out, but once he learns to trust you, his affectionate side starts to shine and he is more than happy to seek out attention and companionship from his favourite people. Tiko is still learning about the world around him and has had limited experience walking on a lead, so he will need patient and understanding adopters who are happy to work with him slowly and at his own pace. A fully secure garden will be important for him while he builds his confidence and settles into home life. Out and about, Tiko is happy calmly passing other dogs, but he would prefer to be the only pet in the home so he can enjoy all the love and attention to himself. Due to his gentle and sensitive nature, he is looking for a quiet, adult only household where life is predictable and peaceful. With kindness, patience, and time, Tiko has all the potential to become a wonderfully loyal companion for someone willing to let him move at the pace that feels right for him.

“🐾 Bonded Pair Seeking a Home Together – Morty & Dana 🐾 Please note: Morty and Dana are a bonded pair and must stay together. They are very attached to one another and will not be rehomed separately. Morty is an approximately 8-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who has been with his owner since he was a puppy. He is affectionate, energetic, curious, and loves being close to people. He enjoys running in fields, exploring outdoors, learning basic commands, and is highly food-motivated. Morty can become vocal when left alone initially, but settles after a while. He would thrive in a home that can give him regular walks, structure, and stimulation. Dana is a 13-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who is affectionate, playful, and loves comfort. Her favourite things include burrowing under blankets, tug-of-war games, and digging in the garden when she suspects there are rodents nearby. She prefers having her own bed and food space and can growl at Morty if he gets too close during those moments. Dana would benefit from gentle exercise and enrichment to help keep her active and engaged. Both dogs would suit a home experienced with terriers and able to provide routine, attention, stimulation, and secure outdoor space. They would especially appreciate a home with a large, secure grassy garden where they can safely run around and enjoy outdoor time. They are both neutered/spayed. Vaccinations are currently not up to date. This is a very difficult decision, and the priority is finding the right long-term home where they will receive the time, care, exercise, and affection they deserve To apply for Morty and Dana, please fill in the adoption questionnaire

🏠 Rehoming Frank: Your Future Furry Companion! 🐾 Meet Frank, the lovable 6-year-old Cockapoo! Frank is a wonderful blend of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle, bringing with him an array of delightful traits that make him a fantastic companion. Known for their friendly and affectionate nature, Cockapoos are energetic, intelligent, and eager to please. Frank exemplifies these qualities, but he also has some unique needs that require an experienced owner. About Frank: - Age: 6 years - Health: Neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated - Living Situation: Frank can coexist with other dogs after a successful introduction, but he would thrive best in a home without children. - Behaviour: Frank has some guarding issues, so we’re seeking a home with experience in managing this behaviour. We’ll discuss strategies for this during a meet-and-greet. Here are some important details to consider if you're thinking about welcoming Frank into your home: 1. Commitment to Training: Frank will require a dedicated owner who is willing to continue his training with a specified trainer. This is crucial for his development and confidence. The trainer has a proven method that has worked well with Frank, and their guidance will be invaluable in helping him adapt to his new environment. 2. Building Trust: Frank is a sensitive soul who needs time and patience to build trust. He thrives on positive reinforcement and gentle interactions. It’s essential that his new owner understands the importance of creating a safe space for him to feel comfortable and secure. 3. Understanding His Past: We believe Frank may have had experiences he would rather forget. Dogs have incredible memories, and it can take a long time for them to adjust to new situations. Patience will be key in helping him overcome any past traumas and allowing him to feel at home. 4. Personalised Training Approach: Our trainer will begin with an onsite visit to your home, allowing them to assess Frank’s needs in a familiar environment. Following this visit, there will be ongoing sessions with the trainer to ensure that both you and Frank are supported throughout the training process. This tailored approach will help establish a strong bond and set the foundation for a successful partnership. If you believe you can provide the loving and understanding home that Frank deserves, please submit an application online. We’re excited to find him the perfect match! Thank you for considering giving Frank another chance at a happy life! 🐶❤️

2 year old Staffy cross Zeus, is a pocket bully. He was brought in through our inspectors. He can be a little unsure of new people at first so for that reason an adult home with experience would be the most ideal. He has made so many friends here at the shelter though, we know in a home his confidence will grow quickly. Zeus could potentially live with another dog that could help him gain his confidence. Despite being shy at first, this guy has an active side and loves cuddles so he just needs a little time in the right home. Can you open your heart and home to this gorgeous boy?
