This Lady is 17yrs old and 15hh.We rescued Maeve from the pound with her foal at foot in very poor condition as you can see from the photo below. Maeve is good for the farrier but can be a bit sensitive around the back legs but once she trusts you she's happy. She very good to load and handle.

Meet Julie Karen and her best friend Esteban Both rescued from the horse pound, its obvious that they have both had a difficult life before coming to MLHR as they don't trust humans and like to keep themselves to themselves. Julie Karen is 16 years old and Esteban is 15 and a half years old. We would love to find them an experienced home together, even though they are two of the smallest ponies here at MLHR their trust issues make it difficult to handle them bit we believe in the right hands they will flourish

Here's a little on why his current foster family have absolutely fallen in love with him: 🚀 A Gentle Pocket Rocket: He’s got great character, but is incredibly sweet and gentle. 🥕 First to Say Hello: The absolute first up to the gate when you walk into the field (especially if you have his favorite daily carrot!). 🐴 Top-Tier Companion: He gets on wonderfully with both mares and geldings, and will make the perfect companion. Also fine with dogs! 🥇 Perfect Manners: He is an absolute dream to load into the horse box and is brilliant for the farrier. Ideal Home: Because Jamie is so wonderfully small, he would need to be companion to someone closer to his own size - hence why he is unfortunately unable to stay where he is ! He would suit a loving family or anyone looking for an easy-going smaller companion.

Sweetie came into our care in Feb 2022 as a foal. Sweetie was left with her mother who had died in a stream. Initially Sweetie was extremely shy of people and nervous. She can still be quite shy with new people so she would really benefit form some 1:1 time. She is extremely curious and independent and would make an amazing companion pony. Sweetie is standing at approx 12:2 and is 5 years old. Tory came into our care in Sept 2021 Tory is an Absolute sweetheart. She loves to interact with other animals on the farm. She is a very calm and friendly pony who would make an amazing companion. She has been best friends with sweetie since the day they arrived together ❤️ Tory is six years old. We would love for Sweetie and Tory to find a home together. They have been together the last two and a half years and are very bonded. Meet the beautiful Rosie. Rosie came into the care of MLHR in 2021. She is now seven years old and 16 hands. Rosie is great to handle, lead, groom and for the farrier, Rosie is not trained for riding currently but we feel with the right groundwork and training she would make a nice riding horse. Rosie would also make a lovely companion horse.

Aran came into our care in March 2024 after he was spotted straying in Bray, he would sleep in wet grass, shivering with the cold, he wouldn’t take shelter and was too scared to come close for food. Kind locals in Bray helped us to secure this boy after multiple attempts, we cried when he wagged his tail for the first time. Aran started to settle into the MLHR family when he realised he was safe and loved. We’re so proud of how far this amazing boy has come and have promised him a bright future, he’ll never have to worry again. Now he’s ready for his forever home. We would like to find a loving home where the family will visit multiple times to build up a bond with him, he will need another dog in the home to aid his confidence, he is best suited to a home with teenagers and no cats. Legend is one of our special needs friends who's recent X Rays revealed the harrowing secret of his eating disability. He had been blasted with a shot gun, close range, through his top jaw and out the other side leaving him with very little bone, fewer teeth and a head full of led pellets. True to his name, he survived, overcame, and lived to tell us the tale ! Now we deal with the corresponding issues by hand feeding and monitoring him closely in the special needs yard.
