About Dottie

Dottie is a bright, clever girl with a confident little personality and a lovely enthusiasm for life. She enjoys getting out and about, exploring on her walks and spending time with her people. She walks well on the lead and, once she is home again, is more than happy to settle down and enjoy some well deserved relaxation. Dottie is a smart cookie who enjoys learning and training, so she would love to keep her mind busy with fun, positive sessions and activities she can enjoy alongside her family. One of the most special things about Dottie is her relationship with her best pal Chester. She is the more confident of the pair, and Chester looks to her for reassurance and guidance. Their bond is very important, and they must stay together when finding their new home. They take comfort in having each other close by, and we are looking for a family who can welcome both of them and appreciate the special connection they share. Dottie can live with dogs of a similar size and children aged 12 years and over who will be kind and considerate towards her. If you have room in your home and heart for two lovely dogs who mean so much to each other, Dottie and Chester would be a wonderful pair to welcome into your family. Both Dottie and Chester have coats that will need a little extra TLC, including daily grooming at home and regular visits to a professional grooming salon to keep their coats healthy, comfortable and looking their best.

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)

Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.

Adoption fees

Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
