Contact the rescueAbout Geri
Beautiful Geri is a 2 year old Red Setter X. She is a total people-lover who adores attention and affection. She loves being around her humans and certainly wont be shy about reminding you when its time for some fuss! Geri is dog-social and loves saying hello to her four-legged pals when shes out and about. She could potentially share her home with another young, playful dog who can happily keep up with her size and enthusiasm. Geri could live with children aged 10 who are confident and comfortable around a large, bouncy girl. Shes full of enthusiasm and can sometimes forget just how big she is. Geri loves her walks and is always ready to get out and explore. Shed thrive with an active family who can take her on hikes, countryside adventures and exciting sniffari walks. With her love of sniffing, exploring and discovering new things, Geri will make a wonderful companion for anyone who enjoys an outdoor lifestyle. She will need a secure garden with high walls to keep her safe. Shes looking for a family who can give her the exercise, love and adventures her happy heart desires.

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)
Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.
Adoption fees
Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
