    Elzaa

    Thoroughbred · 11-13 Years · Female · Large

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Elzaa is a lovely mare and a real sweetheart... Elzaa is a lovely mare and a real sweetheart looking for her next chapter. An ex-racehorse, she has come from a caring home and was surrendered into our care, so she has thankfully not experienced the neglect or mistreatment that many rescue horses face. Elzaa is already broken and can be used for hacking, making her an excellent option for someone looking for a horse they can enjoy straight away. Like many former racehorses, she can occasionally be a little flighty, so she is looking for a knowledgeable home with someone experienced in riding and managing ex-racers. Despite this, Elzaa is a kind, easy-going mare who loves attention and enjoys being part of a routine. She deserves a home where she can continue to thrive and be appreciated for the lovely horse she is.

    Sport Horse · 2-5 Years · Male · Large

    Co. Longford, Ireland

A handsome Sports Horse with a gentle soul... Levi is a handsome Sports Horse with a gentle soul who is looking for a patient and understanding home. He can be quite nervous around new people and may take a little time to build trust, but once he gets to know you, he forms lovely bonds and enjoys human company. Levi is a sweet boy who thrives with calm, consistent handling. We suspect he may have an old injury affecting his hind end or hips, so any future ridden work would need to be approached carefully. While he may be suitable for breaking and light work, his comfort and welfare must always come first. Levi would suit an experienced home willing to take the time to earn his trust and help him continue to grow in confidence. In return, you’ll gain a loyal and rewarding companion.

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Resilient, gentle and making great progress, Blitzen is ready to find a knowledgeable home where she can continue to thrive. Blitzen originally came into the NSPCA in a very poor condition. She was extremely emaciated and showed signs of recently having reared a foal. She also had severe muscle wastage, particularly in her hindquarters, and needed significant care and rehabilitation. Since then, Blitzen has made wonderful progress. With time, proper nutrition and care, she has regained strength and confidence. She now lives comfortably with a group of other equines and gets along well in their company. She has behaved well for both the farrier and the vet, showing just how far she has come in her journey. She will need an experienced and understanding home that can continue to support her needs and provide the right environment for her to thrive. Any potential home must have an equine premises number, along with suitable space, shelter, secure fencing and an appropriate equine companion.
