Casey

Casey came into our care back in March. She was extremely malnourished on arrival, but has thrived in foster care and is now looking for a home to call her own. Casey is a 2/3 year old pitbull/staffie x with an extremely sweet nature. She is an energetic girl that loves walks, hikes and all forms of play. Casey loves a cuddle and will happily lay up beside you or at your feet. She’s very affectionate and will make a vey loyal and loving companion. Casey loves the car and will happily hop in to go on an adventure. She is crate trained and is content when left alone for short periods of time. She loves her soft toys and will always make sure they are tidied away on her bed. She really enjoys lick mats and toys that provide mental stimulation. Casey had been attending dog classes and knowns a lot of commands. She loves to use her brain and would thrive with an owner that could provide further training. She also walks well on the lead. Casey is a young, strong dog so needs a home with dog savy kids 12+. Unfortunately we have found she can be reactive to other dogs so she will need to be the only pet in her home. She also falls into the restricted breed category so she requires an experienced owner that is willing to continue her training. Casey is: * House trained * Crate trained * Muzzle trained * Loves the car * Loves outdoor adventures * Knows basic commands (Sit, stay, down, paw, come etc) * Neutered * Fully vaccinated * Microchipped Casey needs: * Dog savy kids 12+ * Only pet in home * No cats * Experience with dogs, ideally with similar breeds, or willingness to show knowledge of restricted breed requirements. Ronnie

Ronnie is a gorgeous 3-year-old Collie/Terrier cross who came into our care a few months ago. He is now ready to find the loving forever home he truly deserves. ❤️ Ronnie is a lively, friendly and affectionate boy with plenty of energy and personality! He would love an active home where he can be part of all the fun. He would make an amazing companion for someone who enjoys walking, running, hiking and outdoor adventures. He has good recall and is an extremely clever boy. Ronnie would benefit from an owner who will continue working with him and help him channel his enthusiasm. Aran came into our care in March 2024 after he was spotted straying in Bray, he would sleep in wet grass, shivering with the cold, he wouldn’t take shelter and was too scared to come close for food. Kind locals in Bray helped us to secure this boy after multiple attempts, we cried when he wagged his tail for the first time. Aran started to settle into the MLHR family when he realised he was safe and loved. We’re so proud of how far this amazing boy has come and have promised him a bright future, he’ll never have to worry again. Now he’s ready for his forever home. Bella

Bella is a entertaining dog, she is a bit of a diva, she’s independent and loves her chill time but also loves to give big slobbery kisses and loves her walks! Will spontaneously throw herself on the ground for a rest and rubs then get up and go and have an explore when she’s had enough attention. Bella is house trained. Bella would be best suited to the country because she loves cars and wants to get in them all the time so she jumps at cars when driving past but she has gotten better at this with training. Bella can walk past children and other dogs and can go for walks with dogs but tries to have a sneaky nibble of the other dogs bums when she gets close so would suit an adult only home. Bella can walk for an hour a day at a good pace, but that’s enough for her. Bella isn’t cat friendly. Bella is very sweet and will dive on you to clean your face and ears, she’s still working on personal space so she needs an owner who likes cuddles and who wants a dog who will chase you around the garden for rubs and kisses.

Willow is a four year old German pointer x who has had a very bad start in life! She found herself in the pound emaciated and shut down! Willow takes time to trust! She needs someone very patient preferably with experience of nervous dogs who are used to surviving on their own! Everything is new to Willow, she loves sleeping in an open crate and looooves food, she is very dog friendly and is starting to relax enough to play a bit now. She's still learning to walk on the lead. She is affectionate when she relaxes and wags her tail but if there's a loud noise she will jump.
