  • Toro – Photo 1 of 3

    Toro

    Greyhound · 4 years · Male

    Co. Limerick, Ireland

A bright spark Toro is a brilliant bright spark! This clever and quirky boy is full of energy and always up for some mischief. He's very clean - he'll tell you when he wants to go out to the loo - and when he wants to come back in! Toro would suit someone with greyhound experience. His prey drive is quite strong and he wouldn't be the perfect candidate to let off lead in public or in the dog park. He loves his walks though! He's great with other Greys and dogs his size but he is definitely not small fluffy friendly. Toro has broken track records and he's still trying to break more in the garden! His zoomies are awesome. As he can be quite full on we wouldn't recommend him to homes with small children or an elderly person. Toro previously broke a bone in his wrist, but it is fully healed and he has no lameness. It doesn't bother him one bit! Toro is so excited to find his forever home. Someone with greyhound experience would be fantastic to help him adapt to pet life, and he would absolutely love a home with a big garden for zoomies! Racing Name: Dashing Toro

  • Otto – Photo 1 of 1

    Otto

    Greyhound · 8 years · Male

    Co. Limerick, Ireland

Quiet but oh so charming! Otto is a friendly boy with a gentle and loving heart! He loves attention but he also loves having some quite time to himself to chill. He’s very undemanding and is lovely to have in the house! He is great with other dogs big and small as long as they have similar personalities to him. He can find very energetic and excitable dogs a little bit full on. For the same reason, he would prefer not to live with very young children. Otto is looking for a calm and loving home to call his own! He would fit in really well to a couple or a family with teenagers who can give him attention whenever he wants but also know when to leave him be. He would absolutely love a big garden to lie and sunbathe in! Otto is living at one of our Visitor Centres and so is reserved for adoption in Ireland Only!

    Charlie

    €250adoption fee

    Bichon · 10 years · Male

    Co. Cork, Ireland

Charlie is a 10-year-old Bichon with lots of personality. He’s looking for an early retirement home. Only because he’s an older gent, we’d prefer him to go to an adult home as he’s just looking for a good life, comfortable home, short walks and lots of love ❤️ He’s been vet checked, including bloods and is very fit and healthy. He does need to restart his vaccinations, which we will begin, and if he’s snapped up before the second vaccination, we will give you a voucher for one of our vets to cover the second shot. Home visit will apply as with all our dogs and adoption fee is €250. Don’t let this guy get away, apply asap

    Toby & Minnie

    €250adoption fee

    Chihuahua

    Co. Cork, Ireland

Toby (Left) and Minnie (Right) These two Chihuahuas are a really sweet couple. Toby is two years old, and Minnie is three. We're looking for someone with experience and, equally important, love for Chihuahuas. They need to stay together, so you'll be getting double the trouble and double the fun (if you know, you know). Both were unneutered, unvaccinated and not microchipped, so there was a lot of vet work to be done. That's all done, and now they’re waiting and ready to go to make a family complete. Home visit applies, and €250 adoption donation per dog.

    Luna

    Lurcher · 1 year · Female

    Co. Clare, Ireland

Luna is a 1yr old lurcher. She is a very happy playful young girl who will require further training to calm her enthusiasm for life. She gets on well with other dogs but does chase cats. As she is an active girl who forgets she is not supposed to jump on people a home without young children, or infirm adults, would be best. Luna has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and wormed so is ready for a home. • Argus – Photo 1 of 10

    Argus

    €250adoption fee

    Lurcher · 1 year · Male · Medium

    Co. Kildare, Ireland

Argus is a one year old, timid lurcher who is still learning how to trust humans. He is slow to approach and very wary of sudden movements so we can only imagine what kind of an early life he has experienced. He relaxes once contact is made with him, happily accepts petting, is very happy to head off for his walks and indeed walks very well on his lead. He is comfortable in his brother Odie’s company (also listed on our website http://kwwspca.ie/adopt-a-dog/Odie) but of course it will be challenging to find a home looking for a pair of lurchers! However, the pair would keep each other happy in a home where they had to be left alone daily for a period of time. An experienced dog owner with the patience and time to help Argus adjust to this world is needed, in a home free of cats and very young children who might unintentionally frighten him. The garden must be fully secure with high fencing. A confident resident dog would be an advantage but this of course would be subject to a successful meeting.
