Aran came into our care in March 2024 after he was spotted straying in Bray, he would sleep in wet grass, shivering with the cold, he wouldn’t take shelter and was too scared to come close for food. Kind locals in Bray helped us to secure this boy after multiple attempts, we cried when he wagged his tail for the first time. Aran started to settle into the MLHR family when he realised he was safe and loved. We’re so proud of how far this amazing boy has come and have promised him a bright future, he’ll never have to worry again. Now he’s ready for his forever home. We would like to find a loving home where the family will visit multiple times to build up a bond with him, he will need another dog in the home to aid his confidence, he is best suited to a home with teenagers and no cats. Willow is a four year old German pointer x who has had a very bad start in life! She found herself in the pound emaciated and shut down! Willow takes time to trust! She needs someone very patient preferably with experience of nervous dogs who are used to surviving on their own! Everything is new to Willow, she loves sleeping in an open crate and looooves food, she is very dog friendly and is starting to relax enough to play a bit now. She's still learning to walk on the lead. She is affectionate when she relaxes and wags her tail but if there's a loud noise she will jump.

Bella

Bella is a entertaining dog, she is a bit of a diva, she’s independent and loves her chill time but also loves to give big slobbery kisses and loves her walks! Will spontaneously throw herself on the ground for a rest and rubs then get up and go and have an explore when she’s had enough attention. Bella is house trained. Bella would be best suited to the country because she loves cars and wants to get in them all the time so she jumps at cars when driving past but she has gotten better at this with training. Bella can walk past children and other dogs and can go for walks with dogs but tries to have a sneaky nibble of the other dogs bums when she gets close so would suit an adult only home. Bella can walk for an hour a day at a good pace, but that’s enough for her. Bella isn’t cat friendly. Bella is very sweet and will dive on you to clean your face and ears, she’s still working on personal space so she needs an owner who likes cuddles and who wants a dog who will chase you around the garden for rubs and kisses.

He's a confident, affectionate dog who absolutely loves people and takes life's adventures in his stride. In the kennel, Peader is a quiet and content boy. He's not a barker, isn't needy, and is perfectly happy to relax in his own company. Give him a cosy spot, his beloved sucky blanket, and he's in his element, happily cuddling into it for comfort. Peader has a lovely balanced personality. He's energetic enough to enjoy his walks and adventures, but he's equally happy to settle down and relax afterwards.
