Rosa came into our care through Dublin County Dog Shelter, she had a painful condition called entropian, it causes the eyelids to roll inwards and lashes to scrape against the eye.💔💔 Thankfully the amazing team at Southview Veterinary Hospital are able to help this sweet girl. We would love to find Rosa a loving family with breed experience, a secure garden and no cats. Best suited to living with older children, she could live with a male pending a meet and greet or happily as the only dog in the home. To apply please complete the form linked below.
Megan is an American bulldog cross. She was tied to a water container, dumped and left to fend for herself. Megan is so sweet and would love a home with a calm male or as the only dog. She has not been cat tested and could live with children 13+. We adore this beautiful girl and know you will too! To apply, please fill out the form below.
Peader is a young, happy-go-lucky boy who was found as a stray and, sadly, never reclaimed. Despite that, he hasn't let it dim his spirit. He's a confident, affectionate dog who absolutely loves people and takes life's adventures in his stride. In the kennel, Peader is a quiet and content boy. He's not a barker, isn't needy, and is perfectly happy to relax in his own company. Give him a cosy spot, his beloved sucky blanket, and he's in his element, happily cuddling into it for comfort. Peader has a lovely balanced personality. He's energetic enough to enjoy his walks and adventures, but he's equally happy to settle down and relax afterwards. He's manageable on the lead and travels well in the car. He walks happily past other dogs, enjoys meeting people, and shows no signs of reactivity but he would be best suited as an only dog. Peader is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. 📅 ? years old
This little beauty is our lovely Jack Russell and what a little stunner she is. She is 12 years young and is searching for her forever family. She is best suited to a dog only home. She can live with children ten or over. She would love someone who is at home and is looking for a lap dog . This little lady spent her live out a back garden😢. She has been very fortunate to be in a foster home and is loving her home comforts. She loves to go for her walk and also loves to cuddle. If you have the space for an older lady this little lady is the one for you 🥰. Please fill in the form below if you can make her dreams come through 💕
Bobby is a friendly 12 year old spaniel who needs a loving retirement home. He is happiest when in company so would make an ideal companion pet for a person living alone. Bobby is gentle and loves his daily walks. Apart from growling at the Vet when having his teeth inspected, it seems Bobby is really non-agressive. He just wants a safe and comfortable place to lay his head with someone to provide him with some loving company. Bobby has just been neutered which hopefully will reduce the swelling of a couple of peri-anal adenomas (benign growths) which had been fueled by his testosterone. They are not interfering with his quality of life so they have not been removed.
Jess is a stunning, 6 year old Boxer Cross with a sunny disposition who loves human company. In the large dog category, Jess needs an adult handler and is definitely not suited to being walked by under 16’s. She is a real sweetheart who loves her cuddles. We don’t know if she could live with cats and any future canine companion in her new home is subject to a successful meet and greet. A real beauty, Jess is bound to be popular.
Izzy is a pretty, 10 year old Terrier who loves her home comforts, doesn’t like car travel and prefers not to have to meet too many dogs, especially larger ones. In other words, Izzy would like a quiet home without too many distractions. She very much bonds with an owner, likes a cuddle on a lap and this amount of human contact is actually sufficient for her. She will make a lovely companion pet for someone at home most of the day. We are looking for a home without children and other pets as Izzy is not 100% predictable in her behaviour around other dogs and strangers. Not a fan of long walks, Izzy will be happy just to amble around a garden. She will do very well in the correct home with an experienced dog owner who will receive all her love.
Lucy is a sweet, 4 year old, fawn French Bulldog. A lover of belly rubs, Lucy will lap up all the attention given. She likes humans but is not so keen on dogs so we are looking for her to be the only pet in her new home. It must be an adult home too and preferably someone experienced with her breed. She enjoys her daily walks and is good on the lead. She is not yet fully toilet-trained. She will make a wonderful pet for the right person.
Benny is a brindle-coloured, 1 year old lurcher who is just a large, happy and active puppy. He loves his walks and will often nuzzle your hand, push in to your leg and look for a gentle pet as he is walking along. Unlike some lurchers that come to our shelter, Benny is not in the least bit nervous of humans. He is a good dog and will make a lovely pet. We cannot home him where there is a resident cat. He will need a successful meet and greet at our Shelter if he is to share a home with an already resident dog. Benny will be happier in a home with daytime company owing to his young age.
Banjo is a 3 year old, male Lurcher/Collie Cross who is a friendly guy with very striking good looks. He loves a bit of one to one attention and delights in heading off for his daily walks. Not too strong on the lead, he walks well taking in all the sights and smells. He will need a cat-free home and most certainly an active home as the collie in him is surely going to need mental stimulation to ensure a happy dog. A home with older children/teens to entertain him would be ideal. He is in good condition and would be considered a large dog.
This gorgeous guy is a white greyhound who is 18 months old with a wonderful personality. Despite having had most of his tail amputated owing to injury, he is a happy and exceptionally friendly boy who holds no grudge for altering his handsome look. He is currently in a foster home where his affectionate companionship knows no bounds, is clean and causing no trouble. The bonus with Percy is that he is fully toilet-trained and is very obedient. Percy is playful and loves his long walks, beach-life or running behind a ball during his games of catch. He unwinds by resting his head on your lap and listening to a lullaby as he drifts off to sleep. Percy’s Fosterer feels deeply loved, valued and wanted every time she comes home to be greeted by Percy and thinks those gorgeous, innocent eyes will warm any heart. Percy is unsuited to living with cats and will need a nice-sized garden to exercise in.
2 year old Chief is a gentle, sweetheart of a lurcher who is currently enjoying the comforts of a great foster home. Still a bit nervous of the outside world, Chief is steadily gaining in confidence and coming out of his shell. His favourite thing to do is chill on the couch, preferably snuggled up close to his human where he can enjoy being cuddled. Chief has recovered from a broken leg injury and is not yet venturing out on walks owing to his recovery and his timidness. Sudden noises startle him but he is gradually getting used to normal household sounds. Chief can be left alone without issue either in a crate or without, is very food motivated and is so quiet you can forget he is even there. He needs a home with a nice big couch and a patient owner who will allow him to build trust and confidence. Chief is not suited to sharing his home with another dog or cat as he tends to resource-guard owing to his fearfulness. He needs a very special owner who is sympathetic to his fear-based behaviours and who is experienced enough with dogs to allow him feel relaxed and help him reach his full potential.
Rico is a very friendly bulldog who’s 5 years of age. Currently in one of our foster homes, Rico is very well behaved and gets on well with other dogs. He is good with any children he has met and has not bothered the resident cat. Rico is considered a brilliant dog who, apart from being strong on the lead, has received a great report card from his fosterer. He requires a home with a strong adult handler.

Jasper is a gorgeous five-year-old lurcher who is incredibly loving and affectionate and forms strong bonds with the people he trusts. He much prefers humans over dogs! Having recently benefitted from some wonderful time in a foster home, Jasper can now cope with an urban setting and indeed sharing a home with another resident dog is also possible. Of course a successful meet and greet is essential if he’s to share this home with another dog. We will not consider a home with cats for Jasper. A quieter living environment suits him best with walks in peaceful areas where Jasper is much more relaxed. He really enjoys his walks and is excellent on the lead. A village or small town would be suitable but not a very built-up residential/urban area. Jasper will make a wonderful and devoted companion as he has so much love to give and is just waiting for the right person or family to give him the chance he deserves.
