    Barn Cats – Longford

    €150adoption fee

Domestic Short Hair · 6 weeks · Small

    Co. Longford, Ireland

Some of our cats aren't looking for a life curled up on the sofa — they're looking for a place where they can enjoy a little more freedom, whether that's as helpful working cats or simply enjoying a peaceful retirement in the countryside. These independent souls come from all walks of life. Some are younger cats who would thrive in a barn or shed where they can put their natural instincts to good use. Others are older cats who would simply love a quiet rural home with a cosy place to sleep, regular meals, and someone to keep an eye on them. All of our barn and country cats require a safe, warm, and dry shelter, with access to fresh food and water every day. To help them settle and bond with their new surroundings, they must be kept securely indoors for at least 6 weeks before being given access to the outdoors. While they may not all be lap cats, they still deserve kindness, comfort, and a place to call home. Many will form their own special bond with their people, greeting you for dinner or keeping you company from a respectful distance. If you have a nice, peaceful spot in the countryside and would like to offer a deserving cat a safe place to live, we’d love to hear from you. Some cats don’t ask for much — just a warm bed, regular meals, and the chance to live life on their own terms. Could you offer one of our barn cats the fresh start they deserve?

Wendy is the adoring mum to her 3 babies Nugget, Small Fry and Frosty😊 She is currently in foster care and is so appreciative of her warm bed and regular meals. She is taking such great care of her kittens and has now learned to trust people – after just 2 days in her foster home, she started rubbing against her carers’ legs, purring, and greeting them at the door with her soft meows😊 All in all, Wendy is a calm cat who will happily lie by your feet or sit next to you on a chair. Sounds like a pretty perfect feline companion😊 If you would like to welcome this wonderful new mom into your heart and home, please get in touch with us here below.

    Lila

    Cat · Female

    Co. Down, Northern Ireland

Lila Lila arrived into our care in May alongside several feline friends from the same household. This beautiful long-haired calico girl has a gentle, sweet nature and is now searching for a forever home of her own. Lila can be a little shy when meeting new people, but beneath her cautious exterior is a loving companion just waiting to blossom. Given a little time and patience to build trust, she soon shows her affectionate side and is likely to become a loyal little shadow to her favourite person. A laid-back girl, Lila enjoys finding a cosy spot where she can curl up and watch the world go by. She’s also a big foodie, with chicken being a particular favourite! Lila would thrive in a calm, settled home where she can take things at her own pace and continue to grow in confidence. With a little understanding and plenty of love, she will make a wonderful companion.

  • Lily – Photo 1 of 5

    Lily

    €25adoption fee

    Cat · 3-4 years · Female

    Co. Roscommon, Ireland

Lily is a large, beautiful tabby girl, aged approximately 3–4 years. She is neutered, litter trained, and a big sturdy lady with a wonderful nature — though she can be an absolute diva! Lily needs a special, adult-only home where she will be understood and loved exactly as she is. She enjoys being stroked and loves sitting on your lap… but only on her terms. She needs to be the only pet in the home. Lily does not like other cats, definitely does not like dogs, and she has no intention of sharing her food, her space, or her people. She is a bit of a madam, but in the very best way possible. Lily doesn’t like being dictated to, and if dinner is not served quickly enough, she may give your hand a little nip to hurry things along! Lily would suit an indoor/outdoor home where she can enjoy fuss on demand, freedom to explore, and the chance to go out and hunt. She is now waiting for the right human slave to adore her. Could Lily be your queen?

These 2 things he does not like. He hasn’t lived with another cat but has brought a few home in the past so may be ok to live with another cat! Ideally Oliver would like a home with no children or dogs and plenty of space to run about outside. He is a very active cat. A rural home would be perfect.
