Contact the rescueAbout Schweps
Schweps is a big, bouncy hound who is full of energy and enthusiasm for life! He's never short on excitement. He loves meeting new people and sometimes his hellos are a little too enthusiastic. But with that big personality comes a big heart, and Schweps is eager to connect and learn. This playful boy loves his toys, enjoys exploring the world with his powerful nose, and is always ready for a tasty snack (which is great news for his ongoing training!). Schweps would thrive in an adult-only home with people who have experience with hound breeds and understand his lively nature. He forms very strong bonds with his people so he will need someone home often to help him build up his time spent alone gradually. Schweps is a social boy who loves other playful dogs and could potentially share his home with another dog. But with his goofy charm and loving spirit, he'll be all the dog you need. If you're up for the fun, Schweps is ready to bounce into your life!

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)
Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.
Adoption fees
Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
