About Joe

Gentle and easy going Joe is looking to leave kennels behind! Fostering saves lives - can you foster Joe? A greyt big hello from Joe Yesterday, houndsome Joe left kennel life behind forever and made his way to Dublin, where he has now settled into his loving foster home 🏡. A heartfelt THANK YOU to Sheena, Paul and adorable resident houndie Dorrie for responding to our foster appeal and giving this sweet fella the chance to jump off our waiting list and begin his journey home 🙏. Joe's foster family share that he is absolutely adorable and that photos simply do not do him justice. He is equal parts houndsome and affectionate, so every time they try to take a photo he is far too busy trying to get a cuddle 📸. He is settling in really well, and he and resident houndie Dorrie have already become fast friends 🐕. A tremendous THANK YOU goes to Javi for generously helping to transport Joe on his journey to foster. Your time and efforts mean the world to us. What makes Joe so special? 💙 Equal parts houndsome and affectionate 🤗 Would always rather have a cuddle than sit still for a photo 🐕 Already fast friends with resident houndie Dorrie 🏡 Settling into home life really well What Joe needs in a foster home? 🏡 Location: Dublin, Cork or nearby surrounding areas. 👶 Children: Age 10+ and dog savvy. 🐾 Other pets: No small pets. Good with calm dogs. 🌿 Garden: Fully enclosed and secure if present. 🕐 Home presence: Someone home most of the day to give a young pup the time and reassurance he needs. 🐈 Cats: not yet tested. • You prepare him for the forever family who is out there waiting for him. • It's a temporary commitment that makes a lifelong difference.

How to adopt from Rehoming Irish Greyhounds Team (RIGHT)

Fill in the adoption questionnaire in as much detail as possible; a RIGHT volunteer (the homing coordinator) gets in touch to answer your questions and arranges a home check, suggests suitable foster greyhounds, sets up a meet & greet (with the foster family), then a home trial of about two weeks.

Adoption fees

A minimum donation of €150 to adopt a RIGHT greyhound. All greyhounds are neutered, microchipped and vaccinated before adoption.
