Contact the rescueAbout Drago
Drago is a strikingly handsome 6-year-old male Akita. For those who take the time to earn his trust, he becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. Drago is careful around strangers, preferring to take his time and get to know you at his own pace (with the help of a few treats 🦴). Once he bonds with you, Drago will be a loyal friend, always by your side through thick and thin. Despite his size, he is gentle on the lead and can only manage short walks, making him unsuitable for a very active family. Drago would thrive in a home where he is the only dog. He is best suited to a family with older teens or adults who understand and appreciate the independent nature of the Akita breed. Ideally, his new owners should have experience with Akitas. Drago needs to live indoors as part of the family, and a fully enclosed garden with at least 5ft fencing is essential!
