Contact the rescueAbout Violet
Violet is a spunky little terrier with a big personality wrapped up in a small, adorable package. She's had a tough few months and has shown incredible resilience even when she had to have one eye removed due to an old injury. Despite everything, Violet's spirit shines through. She's a sensitive girl who likes to take her time getting to know new people. But once she feels safe and comfortable, she becomes a wonderfully cuddly companion who enjoys gentle affection and quiet moments by your side. True to her terrier nature, Violet also has an independent streak. She prefers to explore at her own pace and isn't a fan of being picked up. Walking and wandering under her own steam is much more her style. Violet is seeking a calm, quiet home as the only pet, ideally in a peaceful area away from busy streets and heavy traffic. She isn't keen on other dogs, so she'll thrive with owners who can give her tranquil walks where she won't have to encounter many canine neighbours. If you're looking for a small dog with a huge heart, a gentle soul, and a spark of terrier sass, Violet may be the perfect addition to your home.

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)
Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.
Adoption fees
Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
