Contact the rescueAbout Nova
Nova is a clever, affectionate boy who forms wonderful bonds with his people. Once he knows you, hes incredibly loving and enjoys plenty of fuss, often seeking out cuddles and gentle interaction. Hes also a real foodie, making training fun and rewarding, and hes always keen to learn new tricks or show off the ones he already knows. Since arriving at Dogstrust, Nova has made fantastic progress in building his confidence. With patience and consistency, he has blossomed into a much more relaxed and settled dog. So, he will be looking for a kind and patient home to continue his training. Because moving home can be another big change, hell benefit from a family who understand the importance of giving him time to decompress and settle at his own pace. One of Novas favourite things is water! Whether its splashing in puddles or paddling in shallow pools, this happy water lover is always ready for a little adventure. Nova would thrive in an adult only home where his new family can continue to build his confidence through positive, reward based training. He may need a little support learning to spend time alone and would benefit from calm routines while he adjusts. If youre looking for a bright, loyal companion who loves affection, enjoys learning, and will reward your patience with an incredible bond, Nova could be the perfect match. With understanding, consistency, and plenty of love, this sweet boy has all the makings of a wonderful lifelong companion.

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)
Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.
Adoption fees
Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
