Contact the rescueAbout Henna
Henna is a lively young Whippet cross with a zest for life thats impossible not to love. Bursting with energy and personality, shes always ready for fun and has yet to meet a toy she doesnt adore! One of her favourite games is tossing her toys high into the air before showing off her impressive catching skills. Shes guaranteed to keep you smiling with her playful antics. While Henna is happy to make new human friends, she likes to approach people on her own terms and appreciates having her space respected. Shes looking for a family who understand her independent nature, will let her choose when she wants affection, and will focus on giving her plenty of opportunities to play, explore and stay active. Henna isnt just athletic - shes a clever girl too. She loves using her brain as much as her legs and will thrive with puzzle toys, training games and plenty of opportunities to learn new skills. Sometimes her busy mind means she finds it difficult to focus on one task for very long, so shes hoping for an adult-only home with people who are excited to continue her training using patience, consistency and positive reinforcement. Henna is searching for an active family who are ready to embrace her playful spirit, nurture her clever mind and help this wonderful young girl grow into the happy, confident dog shes meant to be. In return, shell fill your home with fun, laughter and endless entertainment.

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)
Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.
Adoption fees
Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
