Contact the rescueAbout Phoebe
Phoebe is a young, playful lurcher full of potential. Beneath her shy and cautious exterior lies a giddy, fun-loving spirit who absolutely adores toys, playtime, and mealtimes. Once she begins to feel safe, her cheeky and joyful side starts to shine through and it's a beautiful thing to witness. Though the world can feel like a scary place for Phoebe, she's already showing just how brave she can be. She's recently begun taking short walks on lead and is slowly building trust with new people, expanding her little circle of comfort step by step. What Phoebe needs most is an understanding, patient home with adults who are willing to go at her pace. She'll thrive in a calm, stable environment where someone is around most of the time, especially in the beginning. Her ideal family will be committed to helping her build confidence through positive reinforcement, gentle guidance, and consistent support. If you're looking for a rewarding journey with a sweet, sensitive girl who's just waiting for her chance to blossom, Phoebe might be the perfect match.

How to adopt from Dogs Trust (ROI)
Apply to adopt online for the dog you're interested in; Dogs Trust contacts you to arrange meeting the dog. Dublin dogs are at the Finglas rehoming centre; dogs elsewhere are in foster care and can't be visited at a centre.
Adoption fees
Our adoption fee is €275 for adult dogs and this fee helps us to cover the costs of caring for over 1,500 dogs every year. Our fee for adopting a puppy under 6 months is €325. This includes the €275 rehoming fee and a reduced €50 online Dog School fee. Our Dog School classes help puppies learn key life skills and teach owners the basic training skills they need to create a strong bond with their new dog. Every dog adopted from Dogs Trust is microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked. If your new dog is not already neutered at the time of adoption, you will go home with a voucher of €150 towards the cost of neutering a male or €200 towards the cost of spaying a female dog at a local veterinary practice. You will also receive a starter bag of food, a collar and lead. Once they're at home, you'll be able to access advice from the centre team if you need to.
